Linda has looked like this for a few years. It’s not plastic surgery. She’s most likely on steroids. She has had health problems. Something with her thyroid.

She recently did an interview, it’s on YouTube, this year and she seemed quite loopy and weird. She’s writing her autobiography. She’s already in lawsuits over her animals, pit bulls, attacking people and she keeps the animals in garbage conditions. She got into this back when Katrina happened and her father told her that she was nuts.

It just hasn't settled yet.

She lost me when I heard she rescues putbulls, fuck that you twat. People who think those animals are safe around people are pathological. She's a walking tragedy waiting to happen and that Yelp page of her rescue is brutal. I can only imagine how much money she sank into that thing which is why she's poor now. She comes across as a very deluded person.

It looks like steroid bloat to me, especially because the rest of her body is so thin. She’s been a hardcore vegan for decades and, combined with aging, got really skinny after that. She’s looked frail to me for years. I also think her voice sounds odd these days. I can’t see her being a smoker given how much of a health freak she is, but who knows.

I watch Summer of Fear every summer. It's the most perfect late 1970s movie ever.

I checked out that Yelp page and her foundation's website. At least 40% of the rescues are pit bulls. I look at the photos of the other 60% and I just kept thinking, "one of those dogs is going to be attacked by a pit bull".

I commend her dedication but when I was there she simply had too many dogs to provide proper care for. Numerous dogs were kept in crates in the garage poorly lit, reeking of urine and poorly socialized and housed. It was noon and some were in their crates and had not been taken out for a bathroom break. I overheard Linda chastise employees for this. However these workers were working their hearts out. Too many dogs in too small an area, some turning on the others and drawing blood from a companion in one instance in my presence.

A friend and I volunteered our services for a day, a policy encouraged of our employer. We've volunteered for several rescues in Acton so it's not our first rodeo. We arranged well in advance and offered to do the drudge work that most volunteers aren't interested in doing ie painting, debris cleanup, brush removal, etc. We feel this to be a more valuable benefit to rescues with our limited time. We pulled weeds, raked, cleared debris, filled a large dumpster, etc. The place was shockingly messy and overcrowded compared to other rescues we've volunteered for. We then painted a newly built grooming shed. Linda chose the colors and provided the supplies. We're nearly done and she then prevaricates as to the color she chose and advised us no worries she may change the color to a VERY slightly different shade. ‍ Obviously she doesn't appreciate or value the time spent by the volunteers who work for her to even debate this and in our presence. Obviously a first world country rescues dilemma and she's not lacking for volunteers if she can afford to dither over a paint shade.

She shouted at me for simply for refilling dog's water buckets as she wasted at least an hour of our time while we waited for her to arrive and in between projects as she came and went during the day. We sat around quite a bit waiting to be directed to other work once we finished the assigned task so we found things to do which we thought would help but instead got shouted at for our initiative. She tried to walk it back stating that was someone else's duties and if they weren't doing their jobs she needed to know. While trying to micromanage and control everything she's so disorganized she cannot properly delegate.

Linda is both the dogs best friend but her own and the dogs worst enemy. I understand why she has difficulty finding permanent staff and volunteers. I now see her social media posts asking for donations and volunteers and I understand why she cannot find good, permanent volunteers and support staff.

Well, she certainly turned MY head! Firmly in the opposite direction.

Linda is a regular on the convention circuit, but it's clear she does it exclusively to promote her dog foundation. I honestly don't think she gives a shit about her acting career and only takes these gigs to help fund her animal rescue efforts and pay bills. There are many accounts of her being a cunt(ing daughter) all over the internet from fans. To be honest, I think her life has been a lot darker than we even know about.

R57 I love Summer of Fear too. I remember picking up a VHS copy of it in a truck stop in Montana of all places when I was a kid traveling to visit family in the area. I watched it with my brother and cousin in my great-aunt's living room one afternoon—this was in the early 2000s. I was a horror nerd from a very young age and had seen The Exorcist as well as some Wes Craven movies at that point, and the video cover was very sinister looking. For anyone who's seen the movie, you know it's really nothing like that—they were obviously trying to present it as a dark, disturbing horror movie, which it's absolutely not, but even then as an adolescent, I appreciated the campiness.
