Can I drink 14 hours after taking a single extra strength Tylenol? I dont drink regularly, or take acetaminophen regularly, but everywhere I look on the Google it says "wait 24 hours".
I've had a really bad day and would like to imbibe tonight.

Can I have your stuff, OP?

It's a good time to explore some other coping mechanism.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 19, 2025 8:15 PM |
Doing it once won't hurt you
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 19, 2025 8:17 PM |
It starts with Tylenol and a martini but within a week you'll be sleeping in a dumpster and trading hand jobs for fentanyl!!

OP my mom would take 2 tylenol with a martini every night, and she lived to 92 in great health.

OP, I'm assuming you're an adult. You can do whatever you want.

Having a drink after taking 14 Tylenols is probably a bad idea.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 19, 2025 8:49 PM |
OP jesus can you wipe your own ass?

When I was in my 20s I knew a guy who tried to kill himself by swallowing a 500 count bottle of Tylenol. Surprisingly he survived by he fucked up his liver. It had happened before I knew him. He told me the whole story except for the why, and I think, given it was in the early 80s and when I knew him we were both in the homophobic Jehovah's Witnesses that he couldn't deal with being gay. He told me that when he woke up he was pissed that he'd survived. So he went home and fell asleep on his sofa. His roommate sees him and apparently he'd turned completely yellow because his liver had shut down. Apparently it took a couple of years for him to even get some reasonable liver function.
I lost track of him and years later I was watching the news and a report came on about a man who had snuck into his estranged wife's bedroom and beat her to death with a wine bottle. It was him. He got life with no parole.

Tyneol is rough on the liver! Advil/ibuprofen is better.

Oh, it's a big pretty white plane with red stripes, curtains in the windows and wheels and it looks like a big Tylenol.

I'm allergic to NSAIDs.
Yes it is r21. I managed to get hold of a medical advice service through an app (my work benefits, it occurred to me later) and it turns out you do need to wait 24 hours at minimum. Longer if you're using Tylenol for 7 days or more or at high doses. I'll be using it very judiciously from now on.

Meanwhile irl OP takes two luudes and drinks a bottle of vodka every damn night

I wonder how many people will get your reference, R22. It made me chuckle.

R25 Oh stewardess, I speak Airplane! 😀

Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) is better for tackling pain and inflammation, but Tylenol is better for doing some and bringing fever down at same time.

r27 "Tylenol is better for doing some"
oh ok

Advil is tough on the gut. My doctor insists I use Tylenol instead.

I drink with my Tylenol. Jealous much?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 20, 2025 9:38 PM |
JFC, the label on the bottle specifically says do not take if you consume three or more alcoholic beverages daily. So one pill, which is a half dose, is fine with a drink or three, especially if you’re not a heavy daily drinker.

Tylenol never worked on me. Bayer Back & Body is the most effective for any pain, not just in your back.

[quote]Tyneol is rough on the liver! Advil/ibuprofen is better.
You are correct about Tylenol but Advil/ibuprofen is rough on the stomach. Never take tylenol when drinking and never take ibuprofen on an empty stomach.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 21, 2025 3:55 AM |
Ibuprofen can also be hard on the kidneys
