This is good news. They already have one that is injectable in a doctors office that they advertise on TV a lot, but you would have to go every other month. That seems like a lot of doctor visits.

It's sad that we don't have the confidence in our gvt or our health insurance providers to presume this would be covered.

Next up: RFK Jr. says HIV is GOOD FOR YOU!

Hasn't RFK Jr. already said that HIV doesn't cause AIDS?

I still run into straight nutjobs (usually MAGA types) who just blurt out that HIV was created by the government and somehow does not cause AIDS.

I live in the Deep South and they finally put me on Cabenuva, after being in pill-fatigue for a decade. This treatment really is beyond revolutionary. I'm also not an idiot, and my Gilead stock is at an all time high.

I found out I was positive by trying to get on prep; I sincerely believe that the end of HIV is in all of our lifetime, it just depends on everyone to test, treat, and follow up.

I had to fight Medicaid tooth & nail to finally get it, and if they take it from me I will be apoplectic.

Yes, we WERE on the way, but Trump has pulled back on HIV funding, stopping support for counseling and PrEP. These programs were needed especially to reach minority gays in the South.

r6 The onus is now on the EU to keep the flame alive for the next four years. Because if they could, the fundies in the US would scrap PrEP from existence.
