Shocking NBA development. The Buss family has been incredibly unpopular after Jerry Buss passed and his family were seen as not so lovable screw-ups. The family also didn't have as much money at their disposal as other clubs. That's all changed. The Buss family has sold the LA Lakers to Mark Walter of Guggenheim. Under Guggenheim, he also owns the Dodgers who have seen unprecedented growth because of their creativeness in negotiating salaries especially for Superstar Shohei Ohtani. Although the LA Lakers are considered #8 on the Forbes list of most valuable sports franchises, it's likely that Walter is looking for that #1 spot occupied by the Dallas Cowboys. #2 is occupied by the Golden State Warriors. Ironically, the GSW is minority owned by Peter Guber who said it was his lifelong dream to own the Lakers.
Too bad bc NBA needs more bussy

They should refund the tax payers of CA who always fund these Billion Dollar stadiums for these games. How is it "in the best interest" of the people to spend that kind of money on a venue that most do not take part in and still charged to attend? But still have Billions to pay everyone else?

R4, tell that to the citizens of Las Vegas who are being asked to fund a stadium for the Oakland A's, despite numbers suggesting that the stadium will never break even. Remember Nevada is 49th in education.

OT: What did Jerry Buss pass—gas? a counterfeit $20? the Bar exam?
Move to resuscitate the verb “die.” Jerry Buss died; people do. We all will, sadly.

R5 unalive is another stupid term that I hear mainly woke people use.
As in "He unalived himself" instead of "He killed himself."
