Why is Trump leaving the G7 early?

He claims, "I have to get back," because of Israel and Iran.

But I think it's because the other leaders are ignoring him.

He's such a shithead.

And what's the point of holding a G7 meeting, without the leader of the world's largest economy in attendance?

President Donald Trump is leaving the Group of Seven summit in Canada a day early, citing the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. Before his departure Monday night, Trump posted a warning on social media: "Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!"

Speaking Monday after leaders gathered for a group photo, Trump said he's leaving for "obvious reasons."

"President Trump had a great day at the G7, even signing a major trade deal with the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Keir Starmer," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a post. "Much was accomplished, but because of what’s going on in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with Heads of State."

The conflict between Israel and Iran has dominated the G7’s closed-door discussions, and Trump’s dramatic statement from the summit added to the tension. His message repeated a familiar line from recent days: "IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON."

We good, but thanks for asking.

G7 = Don't let the door hit ya,....

Yikes!

Tehran, you in danger, gurl!

Israel must be planning something YUGE. And Trump just spoiled the surprise.

by Anonymousreply 7June 17, 2025 3:50 AM

He's leaving because everyone there hates him and they can barely hide it and he knows it and he's a coward.

And because he has to actually deal with reality - he's running away like the little yellow bellied coward that he is, with his tail between his legs, tears running down his face, back to the safety of the sycophantic alternate reality of the White House and the warm embrace of the propaganda of Fox News and News Max...

Fuck him. What a titty baby.

by Anonymousreply 8June 17, 2025 3:50 AM

What's a titty baby?

by Anonymousreply 9June 17, 2025 4:04 AM

Don’t go away mad - Just Die !

by Anonymousreply 10June 17, 2025 4:17 AM

Trump should be deported for wearing that dumb baseball cap to an international summit.

Clearly, he was trying to send a message to the other leaders.

What an asshole.

R9: A "whiny-ass titty baby" is someone who is childish and prone to taking offense.

It's the PERFECT description for Trump and also for a lot of the people in the Trump administration.

Mark Carney stood on TFG's toes and he's pissed. Wants to be the star of the show, G7 is not a Kabuki Show.

by Anonymousreply 15June 17, 2025 4:44 AM

Why the hell didn't Starmer make Donald have to deal with his own damn papers?

by Anonymousreply 16June 17, 2025 4:47 AM

Maybe he went home because he couldn’t control his shitting?

by Anonymousreply 17June 17, 2025 4:50 AM

Maybe he's embarrassed about dropping his copy of the UK trade agreement and seeing the pages fly all over and Keir Starmer having to bend down and pick them up because Trump's too feeble.

Or maybe he's embarrassed at saying that a city of 9 million people should "evacuate immediately."

by Anonymousreply 18June 17, 2025 4:54 AM

Because all the other leaders hate him.

by Anonymousreply 19June 17, 2025 4:59 AM

And not just the leaders R19. There was a recent Pew poll (linked) which shows that the citizens of the other G7 countries all overwhelmingly hate Trump, the US and Americans. Because frankly - this isn't about just the past couple of months - it's about the past couple of decades and particularly the past decade.

It must be absolutely brutal for Trump to leave his protective White House bubble and be forced to see and face that reality. That's why he's running off. In his mind, it's probably a show of strength that the G7 meeting means so little to him that he doesn't even have to attend because it's so unimportant.

And when Trump and the US administration have scurried off like little cowards, the rest of the global powers will come together to make plans and deals and solidify as allies to work towards a future which the US is not aware of - nor part of.

by Anonymousreply 21June 17, 2025 8:33 AM

It's because he's still in a pissy and petulant mood because his birthday parade sucked and everyone knows it.

by Anonymousreply 23June 17, 2025 8:39 AM

I think he was bored.

by Anonymousreply 24June 17, 2025 9:21 AM

Trump looked ludicrous, idiotic, getting off the plane for the G7. Over-large dark overcoat, shambling walk which tries to swagger - and the piece de resistance, that preposterous cheap white baseball cap. He resembled a fifth-tier showbiz manager convinced he's top-tier, a creepy old boy-band manager. Three more years of this joke upon the world sent by malicious gods. No Kings is at least the vital start of vigorous pushback.

by Anonymousreply 25June 17, 2025 9:56 AM

President Trump said early Tuesday morning that he wants "a real end" to Iran's nuclear problem, with Tehran "giving up entirely" its enrichment activities. He said he was not just working toward a ceasefire to end the war between Iran and Israel, which has claimed at least two dozen lives in Israel and hundreds in Iran as it enters its fifth day.

"I didn't say I was looking for a ceasefire," Mr. Trump told reporters on Air Force One after cutting short his time at the G7 summit in Canada.

Earlier, the president said on his Truth Social platform that French President Emmanuel Macron had "mistakenly said that I left the G7 Summit, in Canada, to go back to D.C. to work on a 'cease fire' between Israel and Iran. Wrong! He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Cease Fire. Much bigger than that."

Mr. Trump predicted that Israel would not slow its assault on Iran, which has largely decapitated the Islamic republic's military command and inflicted significant damage to its controversial nuclear program.

"You're going to find out over the next two days. You're going to find out. Nobody's slowed up so far," he said, hours after issuing an ominous warning that all of Tehran's roughly 10 million inhabitants should "immediately evacuate."

Asked about that warning on Air Force One early Tuesday, Mr. Trump said he wanted "people to be safe," without offering any further explanation. Israel on Monday warned about 300,000 residents in a central district of Tehran to evacuate, pending attacks in the area.

Mr. Trump suggested the reason he didn't want to stay in Canada was because he couldn't confidentially monitor developments in the Middle East. He said he could be "more well versed" in the White House Situation Room and avoid cellphones. "I don't believe in telephones — because people like you listen to them," he told reporters on the plane. "Being on the scene is much better."

While calling it an EU trade agreement.

Trump doesn’t feel embarrassment, but he does resent being mocked.

by Anonymousreply 31June 17, 2025 3:33 PM

by Anonymousreply 32June 17, 2025 3:34 PM

by Anonymousreply 33June 17, 2025 3:36 PM

Zelenskyy was going to visit on Tuesday, June 17, to ask for the opportunity to purchase arms. He would be surrounded by the G7, which would pressure him. He grabbed the Israel/Iran war, created a crisis in the DOD--sending airplanes to Europe by the truckload--and retreated from his plan to do anything but avoided Zelenskyy.

by Anonymousreply 34June 17, 2025 3:41 PM

He was out of his league—not knowing England had left the EU and stating that somehow Justin Trudeau prevented the inclusion of Russia in the G7, when Russia was blocked before Trudeau was PM

by Anonymousreply 35June 17, 2025 3:42 PM

i heard something about a full diaper needing to be changed?

by Anonymousreply 36June 17, 2025 3:43 PM

Oh, I like the jokes!

Why Trump leave G7 early?

He so dumb, when he hear ICE was coming, so he order 2 scoop vanilla, want to be first in line.

Ha, ha! See I funny lady!

by Anonymousreply 37June 17, 2025 3:44 PM

I imagine these world leaders are not afraid to press him on why he kisses Putin’s ass.

[quote]"I don't believe in telephones..."

That's odd, he has a big important one on his big important desk, it seems his perceptual faith has been shaken of late.

by Anonymousreply 39June 17, 2025 3:51 PM

[quote] Why is Trump leaving the G7 early?

the real reason he left early can be explained very simply: He lacks the coping mechanisms to be surrounded by real leaders, possessing real competence working toward a common goal.

Dump has the singular goal of reinforcing his fragile ego and fantastical self concept which has already taken several knocks last week with his failed birthday party failed strong man bid, his cratering approval numbers and Gavin Newsome castrating him and waving Dump's tiny balls in front of the country on his big tough guy issue : Immigration.

At the start of the G7 he made a fool out of himself when talking to reporters, blathering Russian talking points and humiliatingly confusing events/and facts of recent history. He was further bitch slapped by Mark Carney who put an end to his impromptu gaggle with reporters by basically saying "that's enough out of you" and ended his embarrassing exchanges with reporters.

He's very sensitive to people who are onto him, his ignorance, his failures and his bafoonish incompetence All those G7 leaders have a very low opinion of him and he can sense that. So that's why he left.

The fig leaf is he has to "rush back to DC" to deal with the Israel/Iran crisis. A crisis HE set into motion by withdrawing from the Iran deal Obama put in place to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear bomb AND the stark reality that Israel struck Iran AGAINST the wishes of the WH. A stunning show of weakness. Everyone in those G7 room was aware of that, even if the public doesn't get it. Yet.

by Anonymousreply 40June 17, 2025 3:54 PM

Trump is a liar. I don’t believe a word he says about anything.

He left G7 because he doesn’t like sharing the stage with anyone least of all works democratic leaders.

Also, Trump wants his boyfriend Putin there so he can hang out with another dictator.

Trump is not leaving G7 because of Genocidal Israel and Iran. Trump couldn’t put a geopolitical deal together if they put a gun to his head.

by Anonymousreply 41June 17, 2025 4:00 PM

[quote]He was out of his league

[quote]Zelenskyy was going to visit on Tuesday

No Putin, but Trump couldn't face sharing limelight with Zelenskyy: a true hero he's abused and humiliated, a hero literally embraced as such by Macron and Starmer. Coward psychopath Trump couldn't handle that top-level dynamic, so flounced out. What a leader. TACO.

by Anonymousreply 42June 17, 2025 4:11 PM

As a Brit/European, I'm outraged by the G7, in particular the European "leaders". The hypocrites are blaming Iran and warning it not to strike Israel or else, when Israel is the one that struck Iran first yet none of them is telling Israel to stop firing on Iran! And this while there is an arrest warrant out for Netanyah for genocide from the ICC, which the European countries are all signed up to and claim to support!

by Anonymousreply 43June 17, 2025 4:19 PM

Don't quit your day job, Vairst Letty. Whatever the fuck that is.

by Anonymousreply 44June 17, 2025 4:24 PM

Probably he was being ignored. Also, the "world's largest economy" for the US is majority contributed to by California so perhaps Gavin Newsom should have been sent to attend instead.

by Anonymousreply 45June 17, 2025 4:25 PM

He knows everyone in the world saw his flop of a parade, and he's likely pretty paranoid that they're all secretly laughing at him (yes they are) and are covertl disrespecting him (yes. they most likely are). I love this for all of us.

Trump left the G7 because he thinks it's a complete waste of time that achieves nothing except produce meaningless, sanctimonious statements that are totally disregarded by the other 190 countries in the world. He's not far wrong on that.

by Anonymousreply 49June 17, 2025 4:34 PM

Well, why did he go in the first place then, R49?

by Anonymousreply 50June 17, 2025 4:38 PM

Good. I hope they ALL fucking laugh at him and mock him.

I hope there are wonderful, heartening pictures of all the G6 leaders embracing Zelenskyy, smiling, shaking hands, waving or sitting with their heads together, deep in conversation.

I want that disgusting blob to see Zelenskyy accepted and supported while the disgusting orange blob is isolated, pouting and rage tweeting and cast aside like a used piece of toilet paper.

The rest of them can't stand Zelenskyy either, r51.

Now Merz the Chancellor of Germany says that if the US decides to help Israel in bombing Iran then Germany will do the same too, and France and the UK are also saying similar things. Rather than rejecting Trump, they are egging him on to bomb Iran and want to bomb Iran with him too.

by Anonymousreply 55June 17, 2025 7:27 PM

European leaders are pussies, R55.

They will never stand up to Trump, no matter what he does.

They will always follow his lead.

Little do they know, this will end badly for them.

R55 He's an idiot. (And I bet he owns Rheinmetall shares.) To say our military would be dysfunctional would be a massive understatement. If they really want to toss something onto Teheran, they can start with a couple of our politicians; it doesn't even matter which party they belong to. There are too many who cum a little into their pants everytime they are a llowed to say "Ostflanke". The cognitive dissonance is insane. Proxy wars are ideal for them: They can appear strong and decisive while officially remaining pacifists. It's like nuns getting off to porn.
