Trump Organization launches "Trump Mobile"
Donald Trump's family business licensed its name to launch a U.S. mobile service and a $499 smartphone on Monday, calling it Trump Mobile, in the latest deal brokered by the president's children to capitalize on his last name while he is in office.
The new mobile venture will operate using the networks of the three major U.S. wireless carriers. Some key details about the venture, including those about the family's partner in the business and financial terms of their licensing deal, were not immediately disclosed.
"We are going to be introducing an entire package of products where people can come and they can get telemedicine on their phones for one flat monthly fee, roadside assistance on their cars, unlimited texting to 100 countries around the world," said Donald Trump Jr.

It also comes with a free Wire Tap from the Dept. of Homeland Security, and an ICE Illegal Immigrant Detector.
An added bonus is that it will have a built in device to send Donald Trump all of the login and password information to your banking and other personal account information.

I already know the answer to that - it was rhetorical.

The people that get this phone are G-U-A-R-A-N-T-E-E-D to have lots of overcharges (especially if they cancel) andd billing for services the people never signed up for
the phone service will be HORRIBLE
And
Customer service (probably in another country) will be downright AWFUL. Absolutely ATROCIOUS. The agents will be useless & "won't be authorized" to take those overcharges off or do anything about overbilling for services the customers didn't sign up for. People will spend HOURS and HOURS on the phone and get knowhere. Exasperated, they'll have to go through their credit card company or bank to get the charges removed - IF they are even able to get them removed that way (many won't be able to get them removed)
Anyone who buys this or any trump product has some form of mental retardation.

The MAGA cult is likely already signing up for Trump Mobile. In their mind, anything their Fearless Leader endorses turns to gold.

Like his many other grift packages, this will also be a huge fuck up. MAGAtards will be ripped off either in subscription services they're unable to cancel, shitty hardware/software compatibility, poor or unreliable signal quality, features that don't work properly or don't work at all, hacked accounts (including medical and banking), and extra surveillance tech bloatware. My most sincere hope is one of the many mentally challenged dolts (of which there are multitudes in MAGA) will go berserker and on a revenge-spree against Trump and his government toadies. Alas, he'll probably die first but that will be a celebration worth waiting for in any case.

This makes me sick.
The tRump cult will buy in, the phone/service will suck and it will be Bidens' fault.
tRump Steaks were discontinued after only 2 months. I wonder what will happen with this latest grift.

The griftin' Trump family would shit in tin cans, and hawk them, too (as inspired by notorious pop artist Piero Manzoni).

We simply need to keep a tally, a running list, of every grift. When the Republicans are out of power, every grift must be thoroughly investigated. Then we need to prosecute and incarcerate the ones who have broken the law.
And just you know that most of them are breaking the law, thinking that they will never pay the price.

I'm surprised this took so long. I would have thought with all his schemes, this would have been the one sure to take off. They should have launched and promoted it in 2017.

Someone here at DL should keep a thread with a listing. The sleuths and scribes here are as good as any on the web.
Seriously, tabloids and papers like the DM and others come to DL to grab details during certain events. During the Luigi arrest, the Fail copied his family details verbatim, word for word, from our thread here to compose their article. I've seen it several times. There are low level journalists scanning the site.

Nobody is checking for Datalounge's opinion on any of the matters of the day, R28. I don't think you understand how limited in scope and reach this site actually is. It does not have prominent placement in any search index, the format is outdated and unpleasant, and the site is moderated in a way that discourages people from spending time here. There are 200 regular posters on this site at a maximum. If you think those 200 people are having an outsize influence on the zeitgeist such that the Daily Mail would even know what Datalounge even is, I have a bridge to sell you.

Well r30 I was here the day that story broke, and the DM posts were linked here and were word-for-word in many spots what was posted in the thread. Details, names, etc. in order they were posted too. Not the first time this happened (I've been on DL for a long time).
Note I said "low level journalists". Writers for the NYT or the Guardian aren't hanging out here, of course. But the tabs, yellow press? Certainly they are and have for years.
