What was your earliest memory?
The earliest thing I remember is going with my father and my older brother to a Wendy’s and having my own Frosty. It was very cold and we wore coats inside the restaurant.
I mentioned this to my father today, and he told me that that was the day my younger sister was born, so I would have been 2 and a half. We had been to the hospital to see Mom and stopped to celebrate on the way home.
I bet my older brother “helped” finish my frosty.

Smoke coming out of my parents’ blue station wagon. I was sitting way in the back, looking out at it.

There was a big bush in our front yard against the house and I remember sitting behind it - I've always thought of that as my earliest memory. I also remember the moon landing on TV in 1969, so I would have been about 2 1/2 then.

I remember lots of stuff from before I was 4 because we moved and I remember thing from the older house in the mid 60s.
Falling down the stairs.
Falling on the front porch and cutting my ear on a nail.
Watching Green Hornet and Batman on TV.
Hiding in the basement during a tornado.
I remember the week my brother was born very well...it was the week RFK was killed so early June 1968. I was supposed to stay with my aunt who lived just up the street from our house but she was just sleeping on the couch while the TV was playing nothing but coverage of the assassination. I was bored so I walked the half block to my house and sat on the curb. That night, my dad and my uncle and I went to The Wagon Wheel Bar & Grill for dinner.
