Yes, we all saw him die at the end of “The Return of the King”

The article doesn’t say what his political leanings are.
Ultimately it doesn’t matter, I guess. Since the age of 18 I’ve been buying EL products.
Even now, most of my skin care regiment involves Lauder products. Along with Lancôme and some tiny bit of Chanel.

I met him a few times in the 80s. Pleasant. As was Estée, nee Josephine Esther Mentzer in Queens. She had a big personality. Aerin Lauder has folie de grandeur and is big zero.

Yeah Estée Lauder products are solid.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 15, 2025 10:38 PM |
Well, some of her perfumes are nice enough.

I met his brother in 1980, giving him, an architect, and a black sable coated Lauder model an after hours tour of a museum where I was working while at university. They swept in like a train, but put aside his other plans and relaxed. He was a fast and animated talker but very gracious and attentive, and curious about everything. We were there for hours and he left me with his card and asked that I contact him after completing my degree, offering that if he could be of any help, large or small, including finding a position for me...
He called my museum director and a friend on the board to praise me, and I sent him him a thank you for the thank you. But, foolishly perhaps, I never did follow through on what I believe was a sincere invitation, but I suppose that might have been a big turn in everything.
He talked about his brother quite a bit, and their varied collections and interests.

Isn't he a big GOP donor?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 15, 2025 11:56 PM |
Not any more

Guess he wasn't using any Night Repair or Swiss Performing Extract based upon what I see

He was on Reagen's Advisory Committee for Trade Negotiations, does that automatically mean he was Republican or could something like that be bipartisan?
