Ryan Murphy’s ‘American Love Story’ Sets February Release
Ryan Murphy has revealed a first look at his JFK Jr. and Carolyn.
In images post by the Ryan Murphy Productions Instagram account Friday, actors Sarah Pidgeon and Paul Kelly are in full costume and makeup to portray John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette for Murphy’s upcoming FX series “American Love Story.”
The show will Follow the relationship between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Naomi Watts also stars as Jackie Kennedy.

According to Murphy’s post, production began this week in New York City and the series will debut in February 2026, specifically the week of Valentine’s Day.
“Here are some stills from our LOVE STORY camera test,” Murphy captioned the photo. “We started shooting this week in New York City and can’t wait until you see the romantic and tragic love story between America’s prince, JFK Jr., and fashion icon Carolyn Bessette—out Valentine’s Day week of 2026. I am thrilled to introduce you to Sarah Pidgeon as Carolyn and Paul Kelly as John F. Kennedy Jr. Over a thousand actors auditioned for each of these roles, and we absolutely found the perfect choices. Congratulations Sarah and Paul!”
Murphy is under an overall deal at Disney, and “American Love Story” adds to his long-running slate at FX in particular, which also includes “Feud,” “American Horror Story,” “American Crime Story,” “American Sports Story” and the upcoming body horror series “The Beauty.”
