Or so they say. There will be soldiers walking in costumes from historic conflicts and land and air displays of old arms. After reading The New York Times summary, and a list of the hardware, I grudgingly admit the little boy in me would have wanted to see all this.
Revolting Trump Ass Lick Parade is also the 250th Anniversary of the American Army Parade

Military Equipment of the Past
The event will feature an array of historical equipment, vehicles and aircraft owned by private collectors, including Sherman tanks from World War II and UH-1 Huey helicopters from the Vietnam War. Vintage aircraft will fly overhead.

Military Equipment Still in Use
For more recent conflicts, the Army will be using its own uniforms, vehicles and aircraft. The service is bringing dozens of armored vehicles — like Abrams tanks, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and Strykers — and helicopters from bases around the country, from both its conventional and special operations components.

Fuck this bullshit.
I'm going to the "No Kings" protest instead.

Yes I would probably go to a No Kings protest as an adult, which is what I am. Merely making an observation that one aspect of this shit show is interesting. I used to go to old aircraft shows as a kid with my dad and uncles and cousins, and enjoyed them. One of my uncles was in the Navy and took me to the ships and subs in New London.

What says Nate Silver, R5?

The Army side of it is somewhat interesting. The fact that it is combined with Trump’s birthday celebration is revolting. I’m hoping to avoid any coverage of it by going furniture shopping and out to dinner.

Well I watched it out of morbid curiosity. It was "something".

I got a VA email this week “inviting” me to celebrate the 250th birthday of the Army. Very odd. It didn’t look like the usual ones I get. I thought maybe one of Trumps minions usurped their email to send it. No mention of Dump.
