Obviously taste in any century is subjective, lacking compunctions about claiming the objectivity needed for judging what is best.
Stick with "personal favorites." That way the bald listings can be perused with less offense.

As R7 said Memories of Murder and The Lives of Others are two of the bestest ones. Also Mulholland Drive.

I can't believe we are almost 1/4 way into this new century. And, gurl, does it suck.

I am so glad to see 20th Century Women(such an underrated film) and The Zone Of Interest in R15's list- I agree completely.
I want to add one film that many people have not seen- I truly feel it is one of the best films of the 21st century and I have rewatched many times.
It is called The Nest. (It stars Jude Law and Carrie Coon who are both utterly sensational in it) Same director who directed The Iron Claw.

The Nest was almost there for me but was off somehow. I think you can always see Carrie Coon "acting".

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
