I'm at a party. Drinking it now. Yum! Only 20 calories in a 0.5 liter. Brilliant!
Hard seltzer is the best thing ever!

Hard selter at 5% ABV has about 100 calories per 12 fl oz (0.35 L). It's decent. I drank too much of it during the pandemic & don't want it much now.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 13, 2025 5:21 PM |
Can't be very hard at 20 cal per 500 ml. That amounts to 3 g of alcohol. A 1.5 oz shot has 14 g alcohol.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 13, 2025 5:23 PM |
You'll be spending more time in the bathroom than at the party.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 13, 2025 5:24 PM |
It's only 10 am, op.
Alcoholic, much?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 13, 2025 5:27 PM |
R4 Dear, yours is not the only time zone in the world.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 13, 2025 5:32 PM |
R4 It's almost 8 pm where I am.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 13, 2025 5:36 PM |
R2 4.7 % alcohol in 500 ml.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 13, 2025 5:37 PM |
Not enough alcohol in it
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 13, 2025 6:02 PM |
OP, are you a calorie queen? In addition to being a wallflower?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 13, 2025 6:04 PM |
R8 I don't want much alcohol. I want enough to be tipsy but not to be drunk. I get sick if I drink too much.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 13, 2025 6:18 PM |
You all should know by now the excessive use of "Brilliant" is usually a British thing.
I don't trust your calorie calculations, but I agree that they are refreshing.
My fave the past year is lower-alcohol, no sugar wine. 9% alcohol (25% less than 12-13% regular wine), 0-1g of sugar, and 85 calories. The whole bottle is less than 400 calories. Unfortunately, you can never find it in bars or restaurants.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 13, 2025 6:23 PM |
Just buy your own seltzer water and pour in a half a jigger of Everclear.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 13, 2025 6:26 PM |
It’s not 20 calories unless it’s N.A., but you do you.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 13, 2025 6:29 PM |
Then the calorie count is wrong. Because alcohol has 7 kcal per gram. 500 ml of 4.7% alcoholic whatever you claim to be drinking would have 23.5 ml alcohol by volume, which weighs 18.4 g, and is 128.8 kcal from the alcohol alone.
It was 17h36 UTC when you posted your comment at R6. The only places where it would be almost "8 pm" would be UTC+2. You must be in a country with poor beverage labeling rules.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 13, 2025 6:32 PM |
R15 It is VERY strict in Norway. I believe what it says. If it says 28 calories, then it is.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 13, 2025 6:35 PM |
No - it's PER 100ml. It's in 375ml cans. Nobody is drinking 100ml cans of hard seltzer - or the equivalent of 3 oz imperial.
It's a trick to reduce calorie content. There would be 3.75 servings in a 375ml can - so it's 90+ calories, like we all said.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 13, 2025 6:47 PM |
Oh no, it’s too fattening!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 13, 2025 6:49 PM |
R17 You're right. Sorry. I don't drink very often.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 13, 2025 6:54 PM |
R11 “ never find it”
And “it” is called?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 14, 2025 1:05 AM |
R15 You tried
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 14, 2025 1:05 AM |
R20 - there's no specific 'it' there are several brands of lower alcohol, zero sugar wine available at stores. At least in SoCal. Many by larger known wine brands like Chateau Ste Michelle.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 14, 2025 1:14 AM |
I've only had white claw and it tasted incredibly chalky. I would rather have a lacroix and a shot of room temperature, bottom shelf vodka than drink another one of those
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 14, 2025 2:13 AM |
R11, where? What is the name of the wine?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 14, 2025 2:16 AM |
Another dumbass OP on DL who cant do math and has shit reading skills.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 14, 2025 2:38 AM |
r22 And a specific example would be?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 14, 2025 11:24 AM |
Dumbest thread ever.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 14, 2025 11:38 AM |
I don't give a shit if it has a lot of calories. It still tastes very good. I made a mistake. I thought it had less than it does, but it's still not too bad though. It has less than beer.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 14, 2025 11:57 AM |
[quote] You all should know by now the excessive use of "Brilliant" is usually a British thing.
But don’t the Brit’s spell liter “litre?’
Is OP a poser or a bad speller?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 14, 2025 12:27 PM |
Yoi have to drink about 50 to get any kind of buzz. No thanks. Vodka and diet soda is my go to for slim drinking
by Anonymous | reply 30 | June 14, 2025 2:52 PM |
Friend of mine drinks it I call it "lady waters" both to piss him off and because I can't imagine anyone other than an alcoholic housewife wanting to drink it regularly.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 14, 2025 2:58 PM |
R31 - well that's stupid - no different alcohol-wise from a beer except less carbs and calories. I bet he thinks his dank-tasting local IPA is the height of beer culture as well. Sounds like a douche.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 14, 2025 3:47 PM |
r32 I hope you're able to go outside today at some point, and get some fresh air.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 14, 2025 4:23 PM |
R30 I'm not an alcoholic, so no. I don't need to drink 30 to get a buzz. I felt it after like 4 or 5.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 14, 2025 4:33 PM |
R33 - go Live Love Laugh yourself.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 14, 2025 4:44 PM |
One word: ZIMA
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 14, 2025 4:52 PM |
R35 You’re very easily triggered.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 14, 2025 5:07 PM |
R37 - and you post nothing of importance than trollery and snide comments. You need to touch grass.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 14, 2025 5:27 PM |
[quote] R31] - well that's stupid - no different alcohol-wise from a beer except less carbs and calories.
That may be true for bad beer that people drink simply to get buzzed, but plenty of people drink good beers for the flavor. And to get buzzed. Same for wine, whiskey and cocktails.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 14, 2025 5:50 PM |
R34 I dont believe I'm one either but some people have a higher threshold. If I drunk 4 or 5 of chalky hard seltzer I'd be peeing and burping and not enjoying my buzz at all. To each his own.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 14, 2025 9:31 PM |
Couldn’t have been that good of party if you were posting here.
