I don't agree with most of what she says in general but she may be right on this one. So many strange things happened during the filming of the Poltergeist trilogy that back in the late 90s, E! True Hollywood Story created an episode about the Poltergeist curse. Ellen Burstyn also talked about the inexplicable events that occured during the filming of The Exorcist. It's possible that these movies attract negative energies/entities. Some people have also reported strange things happening when they watch The Exorcist. I've never had any bad experiences watching horror movies except a few nightmares.

On a purely energetic woo-woo level, I can sort of understand what she's saying—and I say that as someone who has been a horror movie aficionado for my entire life. There is something to be said for the kinds of entertainment you take in in terms of how it can affect your mind. Watching a horror movie, may cause negative things to happen in your life, just like watching something positive could bring you good luck.
