We are surrounded by porn so it feels kind of ordinary at this point. It reminds me of that skit on Monty Python in which everyone is Superman but there’s one guy who in secret is Bicycle Repair Man, just an ordinary guy who can fix bicycles, so everyone swoons over him.
Now that we are flooded with porn, ordinary day to day encounters are actually sexier and more attractive.
Even discounting the porn flood, normal day to day encounters are where our sexual desires are born and so are fascinating to us. Not saying tv commercials are “real life,” but they do typically simulate day to day.
