She still has a terrific rack.
and then there’s MAUDE!

We were actually supposed to believe that she was Bea Arthur's biological daughter?

R2 Were we supposed to believe that the very light skinned Sabrina Le Beauf was Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad's daughter?
They were supposed to find a young woman who looked exactly like Bea to play her daughter on Maude?

Adrienne Barboobs

Ooh, maybe I'll watch The Fog today to celebrate. Love that Stevie Wayne. "Ahoy Mateys."

Sydney Sweeney is the modern day Adrienne Barbeau.

Still can't believe she had twins at 52 that she delivered herself.

She could Bea's daughter

R6 - Not in her dreams

I find The Fog a slog, but she's terrific in Escape from New York
by Anonymous | reply 12 | July 20, 2025 8:50 PM |
Yeah, Adrienne is one of those people it's hard to think of being 80.

I don't know much about Adrienne's work except for Maude and The Fog. What's her best movie?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 21, 2025 12:02 AM |
Hard me to believe it now, but I saw her in the original Off-B'way production of "Grease" way back in 1972. I just remember loving the show and the performances. And there was also the very handsome Barry Bostwick as Danny Zuko.. They were all total unknowns.

R14 The 1980s weren't really good for her for parts, where she was usually cast as a hard or brassy woman, most often in horror films. I liked her in George A. Romero's segment of Two Evil Eyes (1990), where she plays a rather unsympathetic character but also conveys a bit more vulnerability.

R14 - Not a movie, but the TV show Carnivale. It’s a show about a traveling circus during the 1930s. Adrienne plays Ruthie, the snake charmer.

Tried to nail her but just couldn’t score. 🌫️

She always seemed grounded and game.

She was married to Carpenter, right? I assume that's why she was in a couple of his films in the early '80s. Aside from "the girls" she's pretty unmemorable. She was fine on Maude but anyone could have played the role as she did. The only thing she brought was..."the girls"

Does she go topless in any of her movies?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | July 21, 2025 12:27 PM |
How much do you think Bea wanted to motorboat her?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | July 21, 2025 1:57 PM |
She's worked steadily (if not super frequently) over the last decade.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 21, 2025 2:02 PM |
R22 Well at least she got to do it with Betty. Older boobs are not the same though. They don't bounce back as quickly from the motorboating which is why Betty eventually told Bea to stop because her boobs were jiggling all the time.

R21 Adrienne had a nice nude scene in Wes Craven's "Swamp Thing" from 1982.

R26 Then I shall watch it with 3D glasses!

[quote] How much do you think Bea wanted to motorboat her?
R22 Bea didn’t want to become the first person to asphyxiate from a motorboat accident.
