I am craving ice cream

Not gelato. Not frozen yoghurt. Ice cream.

I’m picturing a scoop of strawberry and a scoop of banana with hot fudge sauce, candied walnuts and whipped cream.

And perhaps a Coke spider with vanilla ice cream on the side.

Gitchusum!

by Anonymousreply 1June 11, 2025 1:35 PM

What is a coke spider?

by Anonymousreply 2June 11, 2025 1:35 PM

Coke spider?

by Anonymousreply 3June 11, 2025 1:40 PM

Given the spelling of "yoghurt," I'm assuming OP is British or a Commonwealther.

by Anonymousreply 4June 11, 2025 1:45 PM

Only got a banana sorry

by Anonymousreply 5June 11, 2025 1:48 PM

I took the end out of weekend, but who put the hurt in yoghurt?

by Anonymousreply 6June 11, 2025 2:24 PM

Jeni's sea salt caramel with hot fudge sauce - exquisite

by Anonymousreply 7June 11, 2025 5:38 PM

OP, I thought you had attached this....

I ended up having a single scoop of Ben & Jerry’s Oh My! Banoffee Pie! with hot fudge sauce and a sprinkling of toasted peanuts.

Delicious!

by Anonymousreply 9June 13, 2025 12:30 AM

A Coke Spider is a large glass of cold Coke with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream on top.

by Anonymousreply 10June 13, 2025 12:30 AM

Isn't that just a Coke float?

by Anonymousreply 11June 13, 2025 2:46 AM

Are you a great big fat person?

by Anonymousreply 12June 13, 2025 2:49 AM

I don’t know what a Coke float is, r12, where I live we call them spiders.

by Anonymousreply 13June 13, 2025 3:30 AM

Well Damn. I live in LA. After the week we have had - I want a Coke Spider!!! I have never heard of it but now I want one! ….. A few months ago I discovered. Stater Bros Spumoni ice cream. It’s really good…….. I know. I am typing FAT!

by Anonymousreply 14June 13, 2025 3:40 AM

Is Van Leeuwen good ice cream? I've seen the stores and the pints at Whole Foods. What are they offering that Ben and Jerry's isn't?

by Anonymousreply 15June 13, 2025 3:43 AM

I would love a really good quality French vanilla custard right now.

by Anonymousreply 16June 13, 2025 3:47 AM

It all sound so good. The spider thing and ice cream and the French vanilla but I discovered home delivery is too easy and too dangerous and they will deliver ANYTIME-Yes. Since the Nazi take over I’ve gained 7 pounds-Yes.

by Anonymousreply 17June 13, 2025 3:54 AM

What is frozen custard like?

I asking knowing that proper ice cream is churned and frozen custard but I assume there is a difference.

by Anonymousreply 18June 13, 2025 1:44 PM

I've always thought that frozen custard does not have as much air mixed into it.

by Anonymousreply 19June 13, 2025 1:54 PM

I never buy ice cream. Yesterday I bought some emergency vanilla for this weekend in case ‘’No Kings’’ goes very bad or ‘’Trump’s little penis military parade’’ goes very good.

by Anonymousreply 20June 14, 2025 1:50 PM

Frozen custard is richer and more dense with less air. I prefer it as the flavor and textures are more palatable to me. I just don’t prefer the calories…

by Anonymousreply 21June 14, 2025 8:49 PM

Yes, richer indeed—I believe frozen custard contains eggs.

by Anonymousreply 22June 15, 2025 1:41 AM

Ice cream. He bought me ice cream. Vanilla ice cream. Imagine that.

by Anonymousreply 23June 15, 2025 2:07 AM

Go to Cold Stone, OP. I haven't bought ice cream in a long time but it's where I would go if I really wanted to indulge.

by Anonymousreply 24June 15, 2025 2:13 AM

I just had an ice cream sandwich. I usually never keep ice cream in the house but it was an impulse buy. It was a box of 4. I am going to bed before I have another.

by Anonymousreply 25June 15, 2025 2:30 AM

Dairy allergies. The other day I bought a pint of coconut milk based ice cream, Kate's Marrionberry and Cobbler, which was excellent - but cost $16. $16 dollars for a pint of ice cream! Plus I ate it in one setting and the scale went up 2 pounds the next morning

by Anonymousreply 26June 15, 2025 2:43 AM

American ice cream is far superior to gelato.

More butterfat = more flavor.

Just because it’s from a more exotic country does not mean it’s better.

by Anonymousreply 27June 15, 2025 2:47 AM

Surprisingly, the Van Leeuwen Kraft Mac & Cheese ice cream was quite good, as was their sweet potato marshmallow ice cream.

by Anonymousreply 28June 15, 2025 3:17 AM

I bought stuff to make homemade strawberry ice cream and lemon sherbet.

by Anonymousreply 29June 15, 2025 3:17 AM

[quote]I don’t know what a Coke float is, [R12], where I live we call them spiders.

You've never heard of a root beer float? Same thing, but with Coke.

by Anonymousreply 30June 15, 2025 3:23 AM

For fat whores wanting something a bit more wholesome, try frozen banana slices in the food processor. It comes out like ice cream. I like to add cocoa powder to it. Peanuts or peanut butter goes well in it too.

by Anonymousreply 31June 15, 2025 3:53 AM

Thanks R31. Forgot all about the frozen banana ice cream thing-I’m old.

by Anonymousreply 32June 15, 2025 4:30 AM

Holy shit that sounds absolutely disgusting.

Who the fuck would eat that sewage?

Eat real ice cream and not that compromised shit.

by Anonymousreply 33June 15, 2025 4:33 AM

R31 should be in prison for that abhorrent advice.

by Anonymousreply 34June 15, 2025 4:34 AM

Does it taste like banana ice cream?

by Anonymousreply 35September 28, 2025 4:56 PM

Summer 2025 was the summer of ice cream for me. My local grocery kept having sales on my favorite brands so I let myself eat way more of it than I usually allow myself.

Don't you think the CANDIED walnuts were a trifle bit unneccessary? 😀

by Anonymousreply 37September 30, 2025 10:37 AM

[quote]Given the spelling of "yoghurt," I'm assuming OP is British or a Commonwealther.

Yes, according to my research, a "Coke spider" (basically, a Coke float) is Australian.

by Anonymousreply 38September 30, 2025 11:40 AM

I'm dying for anything mentioned, but am still recovering from the pint of caramel waffle bits I had on that hot day in July.

by Anonymousreply 39September 30, 2025 12:55 PM

R37 I consider them essential

by Anonymousreply 40September 30, 2025 6:46 PM

Cola and ice cream tastes a little flat to me. Root beer, ginger ale or orange soda are a better pairing with vanilla ice cream.

by Anonymousreply 41September 30, 2025 8:42 PM

Frozen custard is really good in its own way. It’s nothing like Darry Queen or other typical soft serve.
