Eyeglasses that record and access the internet

can’t someone walk into a movie or a Bway show and record them?

by Anonymousreply 16June 12, 2025 2:34 AM

Based on the title of your post, I'm guessing the answer is yes.

by Anonymousreply 1June 11, 2025 2:54 AM

The lighting would be all wrong

by Anonymousreply 2June 11, 2025 2:56 AM

r2 You've researched the new technology used in these glasses? Nope.

by Anonymousreply 3June 11, 2025 2:58 AM

OP who makes them? are these new Google glasses or whatever they were called?

by Anonymousreply 4June 11, 2025 3:14 AM

Rayban is selling a version in collaboration with Meta

Googleglasses were a flop but they’re sure to come out with another version of the Rayban catch on. Same with apple

Nuisance streamers are already using them to record pranks inside of small businesses.

Patti Lu will gouge your eyeballs clean out of their sockets if you try that at her performance

Nobody will make passes at a guy wearing recording glasses.

Actually my favorite portion of the movie V/H/S is about three frat douches who have a pair of these, and they’re determined to make a porno with them. But they pick up the wrong girl. It’s called “amateur night.”

I had a pair of the Meta glasses and, at least with those, there’s a light that comes on to let people know you’re recording. I’m sure a techy person could disable it, but it would certainly be noticed otherwise.

That’s what I understood about them, R9, which makes them useless for what people would really want to use them for.

by Anonymousreply 11June 11, 2025 11:04 AM

“I know what those are! Take those damn things off!”

by Anonymousreply 12June 11, 2025 11:17 AM

You’d have to keep your head very still during the performance, no? What was the original intent for these glasses? Were they to replace GoPros?

by Anonymousreply 13June 11, 2025 11:22 AM

You just have to cover that tiny light with a black sticker.

by Anonymousreply 14June 11, 2025 3:56 PM

R14 - I believe the camera detects if the red light is covered and then won’t operate.

by Anonymousreply 15June 11, 2025 11:48 PM

r13 "no? "

We don't end sentences in this manner, dear. It makes you seem desperate for attention.
