Say what you will, but I loved it when Andy Dick guest starred on Star Trek Voyager in the 90s as a holographic doctor to play opposite Robert Picardo, the show’s own long-running holographic-doc. Andy Dick essentially played the updated software version of the hologram. And it was a hoot!

He was part of a stand up comedy fundraiser for Katrina relief I saw in 2005 in L.A. headlined by Roseanne and Dane Cook (talk about a night of a 1000 soon to be canceled stars). He started doing Nazi salutes and cursing out Jews. He had to be yanked off the stage. Good times!

I remember an interview Brooke Shields did shortly after David Strickland's death. They asked her what she thought about Strickland's friendship with Andy Dick. Brooke took a long pause and said, "I'm not going to comment on Andy Dick."

He met with Mo Gaffney in a restaurant to apologize to her and she was not buying it. She sat their stoically the whole time, and when he was finished with his apology, she said, "I've heard all this before. Time will tell."

He could be hysterical on some of his shows. I enjoyed watching his insanity. Unlike all the reality show fakeness, Andy’s was real. Very real. I’d watch a reality show with him. You know you’d be getting real fuckery.
