I have enjoyed him as an actor in some roles, but as an art historian, his art (and I have seen too much of it lately) is fucking ghastly.

That article is indeed brutal…pixilated images downloaded from the internet, that’s embarrassing. But it does mention a (now deceased) French artist and I like his stuff.

The artwork is truly hideous. It's shitty street art inspired Miami schlock. Impressively terrible.

A true unknown outsider like a 2 time Oscar winner, right? Maybe you're confused, there's some skill and work and effort in what he's doing but the subject matter is so lame. It's so trashy. There's DOZENS of street art types doing the exact same post-Warhol take on Marilyn and cartoon characters. I've seen worse examples, he's clearly trying, but the subject matter alone is totally cursed. I've always enjoyed his acting. The art is.... not strong.
