Jeremy Jordan and Jonathan Groff Should Host the 2026 Tony Awards
Both are extraordinarily talented, and both were nominated for Best Actor in Musical this year...Jeremy for 'Floyd Collins' and Jonathan for 'Just in Time'. They can sing and dance and have a great stage presence. They would be hugely entertaining, and both the audience attending the awards and those watching at home would love them.
Hugh Jackman and Neil Patrick Harris have been great hosts in the past, but Broadway has another duo of outstanding male performers.
To the Tonys: Hire Jeremy and Jonathan to host in 2026!

Jeremy Jordan sings like a dream. He’s unbelievable.

Hell no to Groff. His voice is below average and his Just in Time number last night was mediocre.

R8. Groff could get the home audience to watch since he's well-known and capable musical performer. Lesser known but musically outstanding Jeremy Jordan would add a fabulous display of talent to the evening.

Perhaps the 2026 Tony hosts could be Jeremy Jordan and the talented Aaron Tviet. Just one problem...there is a chance that Tviet might be a Tony nominee next year as Broadway gears up to open the revival of the musical 'Chess' this autumn. Tviet may not want or be able to be host at the same time that he is a Tony nominee since he may not have time to rehearse as host if 'Chess' is still running in the spring of 2026.

That would be sure to set a ratings record!

According to Nielsen’s time-zone adjusted data, the awards show drew 4.85 million viewers for CBS. That is up from 3.53 million in 2024, an increase of approximately 38%. That is also the largest audience for the Tonys since 2019, when the telecast that year nabbed 5.4 million viewers.

Jean Smart. She's an old theatre queen from Seattle.
Jean will be starring on Broadway this summer for a limited run in 'Call Me Izzy.' It's selling well
