Terry Moran Suspended at ABC News Posting That Stephen Miller Is a ‘World-Class Hater’
ABC News suspended its senior national correspondent, Terry Moran, after he called White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller a “world-class hater” in a since-deleted post on X.
Moran’s post went out just after midnight on Sunday. In it, he wrote that Miller is “one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of the Trumpist movement and translates them into policy,” and operates not on “brains” but on “bile.”
“Miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred,” Moran wrote. “He’s a world-class hater. You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate.”

Again, I agree with the sentiment. I am troubled that a legitimate journalist would offer a character assessment of a public figure "just by looking at him." As expressed, this sounds like prejudice. Miller has committed acts or expressed views that support he is a world-class hater consumed by hatred -- but it is not something you can determine "just by looking at him."
