In one of the most Los Angeles images ever, protesters have set a car on fire at Randy’s Donuts

I don’t even think they did this in 92.

Property damage is so much more offensive than the secret police snatching people off the street.

Riots = martial law = cancelling all elections = lifelong dictator

The whole thing is like, you know when you walk to the edge of a cliff and you have these deep fear... and the fear, unspoken, is that you will just go ahead and throw yourself off.

That's the US... we threw ourself off, and now:

Free fallin... walking down Ventura Blvd. .. yeah, I'm free...

Property damage is no big deal. Until it happens to you.

“[somebody else’s] property damage is so much more offensive than the secret police snatching people off the street.”

Yep! The masked, non-uniformed "agents" who look and behave like human traffickers, and threaten and intimidate people attempting to observe and record their suspicious abductions.

This is part of that slimy reptile chief of staff who has orchestrated activity that would provoke a response from ordinary citizens so he can call it a "riot" or "insurrection" -- as opposed to the "day of love" on January 6, 2021.

There was a better chance of that BEFORE he found himself at odds with Musk.

by Anonymousreply 22June 8, 2025 3:17 AM

R22 I disagree. The spat with Musk, where Trump comes out on top, Musk chastened deletes his mean tweets, Trump struts around the lord of all he surveys (with his crew of sycophants telling him how powerful he is and how good it is to get rid of Musk). And this only makes him emboldened to tell the military to shoot protestors. Remember Lafayette Park demonstrations in his first admin... the "senior officers" prevented him from ordering out the troops.

There are no guardrails this time.
