[quote] The 10-page indictment filed in the Middle District of Tennessee also represents a potential effort to save face: Bringing Mr. Abrego Garcia back to face criminal charges — rather than complying with the dictates of three federal courts, including the Supreme Court — allows the White House to avoid an increasingly difficult legal confrontation, while enabling the administration to press its claim that he is a dangerous criminal who was worthy of removal in the first place.

Bring me the head of Albrego Garcia.

They'll find a way to convict him on some trumped up (pardon the pun) charges.

R1, weak people can't admit that they've made mistakes. Think of all time and money they've already wasted on this. They're going to keep doubling down until they're forced to pay him a settlement.

Shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I hope the press throws this in KKKaroline Leavitt's ugly face!
"Leavitt Vows That Kilmar Abrego Garcia 'Will Never Live In The US again'"
Please, please, please ... someone play her words back to her at a news conference!!!!

Well, at least he's getting due process. I'm thinking we may have put our eggs in the wrong basket on this one, but let them present the evidence they have for deporting him (along with all of the others who were deported).

It's annoying when the photos that represent an article about someone don't show the someone in question.

There is no WRONG basket, R13. According to our Constitution, EVERY person on U.S. soil is entitled to due process.
There is only one basket and we are all in it.

Also R13 - you actually believe the Trump administration? You think Pam Bondi is some iron clad prosecutor? Even at this late date, you think these people understand the legal process? Do you think Pam Bondi has put this case before a grand jury? I doubt it. Everything is just press to them. That’s why Bondi, Noem, Habba - they all announce their “verdicts” in the press, that’s the first thing they do. They’re not supposed to do that at all. They’re supposed to make their case in court.
We’ll see but I wouldn’t fall for it. If they had such a strong case against him, why didn’t they arrest him, charge him and begin proceedings in the U.S.? You don’t just fast track people out of the country to a death camp in El Salvador. Be serious.

Those calling for Garcia to be returned to the U.S. weren't doing so because they think he's innocent; they're doing so because even the Trump administration admitted he was wrongly deported. And in all the hearings about Garcia, the Democrats have been clear to say the point is not whether he's innocent or guilty, but that the Trump administration fucked up, the Supreme Court said they fucked up, the Supreme Court ordered Garcia returned, and the Trump administration was violating the law by not facilitating his return. They hemmed and hawed and were defiant about not returning him, with even dog killer Kristi Noem testifying in a congressional hearing that Garcia was "not coming back."
Well, he's back. So I do disagree with R13 saying the Democrats may have put their eggs in the wrong basket. It's clear they put their eggs in the right basket, then lobbed them right into the faces of the Republicans and the DOJ.
It's likely Bondi and her thugs will lie, cheat, and steal to get Garcia convicted, but at least in this battle, the Republicans are the ones with egg on their faces.

I find it hilarious that the DOJ is now accusing Garcia of human trafficking. Funny they never mentioned that when they mistakenly deported him. The only lied about him being a member of MS13. They had to scramble to find a reason to put him on trial in the U.S.

The US government is currently a complete clown show. Fuck every single moron who voted for Trump. Congratulations, you've ruined our country. Scumbags.

Glenn Kirschner from 'Jutice Matters" you tube channel seems to say...*.cough *cough.... Trump up charges. Bondi's time span for these charges are 2016-2025. Trump 1.0 Administration didn't do anything, how odd.

I said it in a another thread, authoritarian governments refuse to acknowledge mistakes because that would undermine their power. That's why they fought tooth and nail to keep in El Salvador and that's why they're changing him with a bullshit crime.
They're fascist scum.

The reason the Trump administration did this was to see IF they could get away with it. To test what the reaction would be from the public and the courts.
And yes 100% R28. The Trump administration are a fascist regime according to the definition of fascism.
