Been watching Yale lectures on Roman architecture
She mentions at the start of this one it's the day of Obama's (first) inauguration. If you need some hope, inhale the exhilarating sense of endless possibilities present in that moment, as I did when I came across this video.
And yes, she keeps mispronouncing the noun concrete as the adjective concrete; it's just her thing, we all have one of those blind spots.

I think you need some concrete assistance with your hearing.

She says it correctly a couple of times, but then goes back to the incorrect pronunciation. And besides, I watched two more lectures before that, so that's likely two more than you have. But thanks for being the good old r1, known for being a cunt, but rarely known for being right.

How did she manage such a passionless and rather annoying delivery of an interesting subject? I'm not certain that I could sit through more than one of her lectures. I heard her speak at conferences a couple of times many years ago and she was disappointing. An art historian should understand how to make a compelling slide presentation.
