This is thought to be the first Broadway musical taped from start to finish. In 1974, Broadway tried to ride the nostalgia wave they successfully navigated with Grease. They even got a lot of the same creative team as Grease. They signed the two remaining Andrew Sisters and while Over Here! isn't a masterpiece, it's a really fun show. This video doesn't have the opening minutes of the show but starts with Charlie's Place which is the jitterbug number which made Ann Reinking a star. You can also spot future stars John Travolta, Marilu Henner and Treat Williams, among others. Janie Sell as the Nazi Mitzi won a Tony Award but never really went anywhere after this. At the end, the Andrew Sisters did a third act where they did a medley of their hits.
