It’s not often a real estate listing is so rare that it renders the real estate agent representing the seller unable to comment. But that’s exactly what happened this week in Carmel.
The parcel for sale is an oceanfront property in the heart of one of the most sought-after stretches of coastline in the world. The property is also one door down from the region’s famous Frank Lloyd Wright house.
And it can be yours for $100,000.
No, that’s not a typo.
Two zeros haven’t been accidentally dropped from the price. The 4,200-square-foot lot on Carmel’s fabled Scenic Road that leads right into the Pacific hit the market on May 23 for the shockingly low six-figure price.
It’s a bargain, considering Monaco billionaire Patrice Pastor plunked down $22 million for the neighboring Frank Lloyd Wright home in February 2023.
But there is a catch: You can’t ever develop the lot.
