by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 4, 2025 6:33 PM |
Yeah, you awful Democrats!
Quit forcing the Constitution on everyone! Quit saving the economy from collapsing under Republicans ruinous botched response! Quit working to count every legal vote and make voting easier for everyone eligible! Quit supporting gays and lesbians in high-level government positions! Quit protecting the environment!
I guess I'll be forced to abandon the Democratic Party until these things get done! I'm very SPECIAL!

A. Batshit crazy
B. Almost sane
Splitting it down the middle and being "independent" isn't going get any of us anywhere. Pick your side!

He was not betrayed by the Democratic Party. He betrayed the Democratic Party by running for a second term after running on “being a bridge to the next generation.” If anything it’s the Democratic Party that propped him up for 4 years despite every poll showing Americans thought he was too fucking old.

I did vote Republican ONCE, my first election and it was for William Weld as governor so does that even count?

Relax it’s going to get a lot worse . In time the real blue on blue fighting and back stabbing starts . Who to blame for the whopping O-3 loss. Who was disloyal to Joe. Who was covering for Joe. Blame will be given nd more will leave the party..
Right now the early smart money would be on Vance for the win in 2028.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 4, 2025 8:23 PM |
Maybe a few democrats are prepping to launch a US Labor Party. It would be an almost insurmountable task poaching moderates from both sides, and they'd need insane grass roots support without PACs, but anything is possible. I'd be willing to bet a few (sane) billionaires like Gates would join up if it gains momentum in local elections.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 4, 2025 8:36 PM |
So to be clear, she’s stomping out of the D party because Biden was pressured to withdraw and she thinks that was just so disloyal and mean… even though the pressure was BECAUSE HE WAS CLEARLY NOT CAPABLE OF CAMPAIGNING LET ALONE WINNING.
She can sod right off, as the Brits say.

Jean-Pierre’s former staffers offered withering criticism of what they see as an opportunistic grift.
“She made a joke about being an independent last year and now it’s a book. All ideas are monetary — even the dumb ones,” said one of the former staffers.
Jean-Pierre had been hoping for a post-White House job as a co-host on The View. But no such opportunity materialized, a factor three of her former colleagues surmised that likely led to the book.

70 needs to be the upper limit for a President being elected to a first time. They can run again for a second term but be done by 78. Why anyone would want to be President at ages old than this is beyond me.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 4, 2025 9:16 PM |
R31 yes like running the country. And there lies the only democratic hope at this point in time. The GOP certainly has issues. Everyone has issues. What they won’t have is a civil war and the chance their party will split.

It is about the party not wanting a Black woman being president. She will still vote D, but she is unhappy the party players seemingly didn’t want a Black woman as president when they are the backbone of the base.
And yes, it is a grift.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 4, 2025 11:05 PM |
Bitch does not know how to read the room. While Biden was in office, she was constantly lambasted by the right, MAGA and even moderate (cough, cough) Republicans. They could not stand her. Now she stabbing the Democratic party in the back to sell a book like Jake Tapper? Good luck with that Toots.

Former TEA party nut job Joe Walsh has joined the Democratic Party. He said he has changed on a number of issues, is still a conservative, but the maga Republicans have got to be stopped, that only one party believes in bedrock American values and that party is the Democratic Party.
He’s correct.

And now an announced federal investigation into all “allegedly” Biden signed orders, pardons, including pardons for Biden family members, actions on climate change, etc etc etc etc etc to see if they were actually signed by the President or auto signed by a staffer running an auto sign machine while the potus took a nap,
It sounds like they may try to undo the Biden four years.
This Trump machine is just getting started

I always thought she was a horribly, pathetic press secretary. I think we can all admit she was only hired because she was a black female & that she was really shitty at her job.
She was a complete joke. A high school student would have been better (because they at least would have improved). She never improved. It was painful to watch her get her ass handed to her by journalists, week after week, year after year
This dumb bitch has a book coming out? That's hysterical. No one, not even her own family will buy that book. She is going to have to really spill all about the Bidens if she hopes to sell even a thousand books. Even if she does tell all, she won't be able to give that book away.

by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 5, 2025 10:56 AM |
R48 you think it’s a distraction? If only that was it. I think they are going after just about everything Biden ‘ allegedly’ signed and ‘ allegedly’ was aware of that was signed.
I think we are going to hear a ton more about senile old Joe and the senior staff and wife that was illegally running the country. This is not a distraction this is a full blown attack,
Hunter should be worried.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 5, 2025 11:07 AM |
Yeah, in-fighting and telling people to leave the Democratic Party will help soooo much. Meanwhile, millions of federal workers will keep losing their jobs for no reason (or to be replaced by MAGA loyalists), people will lose benefits (and you can bet it’ll be a disproportionate number of poor brown and black who do), women can further kiss their reproductive rights away, brown people who are legally in the US will continue to be illegally kidnapped by MAGA Proud Boys cosplaying as ICE, lgbtq people will continue to be forced back into the closet… but the biggest sin by far is Joe was declining and people apparently covered it up? I have a hard time believing people like her aren’t getting some of that sweet MAGA money to keep up the hit jobs on a man who is no longer president only to prop up a colossally stupid man in orange makeup who is way more mentally incompetent than Biden, and whose administration, unlike Biden’s, is woefully unqualified to do their jobs.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 5, 2025 11:10 AM |
[quote][R48] you think it’s a distraction? If only that was it. I think they are going after just about everything Biden ‘ allegedly’ signed and ‘ allegedly’ was aware of that was signed.
Oh, I certainly think they'd like to erase everything Joe did, but the courts are not going to support them in that, and it will go nowhere. And they know that. It's red meat for the base, and a distraction for everyone else.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 5, 2025 11:15 AM |
R51. My crystal ball broke into small pieces last November. Good for you that yours still works and you know exactly what the courts will do a year or two from now after extensive investigations and hearings.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | June 5, 2025 11:31 AM |
And if anyone is wondering if Biden can be forced to appear before congress and made to answer questions about laws or pardons he signed or had no knowledge of but the law or pardons was “ allegedly” signed by the president anyway——the answer is of course yes. And that would be on TV.
Talk about what a cluster fuck would look like. If they are truly trying to gut the Democratic Party this is how it would be done. Try to totally undue what was previously done.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | June 5, 2025 11:43 AM |
Thing is, based on the other thread, she thinks Biden being forced not to run again was a bad thing, so her political instincts aren't very good. The problem was that Biden should have been forced out even earlier! He was visibly unfit to run again yet they kept pretending he was fine. That part is obvious.

by Anonymous | reply 57 | June 5, 2025 2:57 PM |
How did everything go so well under Biden compared to Trump and most other Presidents. Sure he was old and seemed old, but functioned in the capacity he needed to. I didn't think he should have tried to run again, but if a quarter of the non-voters hadn't acted to negligently and showed up to vote, it all would have succeeded!
I know, I know, if frogs had wings...
Female, black, and a lesbian....Bitch, just own your blatant DEI privilege for a moment! We all see it.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | June 5, 2025 4:45 PM |
Biden was the only one who had beaten Trump and is still the only one who has beaten Trump. I think his wanting to run again was because he firmly believed that he was the only one who had a shot, and guess what, he was probably right. We'll never know for sure.
A President is only as good as the people he surrounds himself with. Biden had good people around him. I don't care if he was a drooling, incoherent mess off-camera; he was a good President where it mattered. As we have all seen, Biden's age, mental health, or the economy were all distractions.

Biden was too fucking old and the cover up was a disgrace. And guess what--I can talk about that while also talking about how evil Trump is. The only "distraction" is the one Democrats keep pulling by pretending people are so stupid they can't talk about both topics at the same time. I also don't care that Biden surrounded himself with good people. That's the minimum of what we should expect for a President. We should also expect our President is capable of forming a coherent thought no matter what the people around him are like. Sadly, that wasn't the case with Biden.

EVERY DAY of Trump's new administration has been far worse than the worst day in the Biden administration that I can recall.
Trump is a fascist who is shredding the Constitution. Policy differences aside, which matter far less is simply adhering to the rule of law. This must be the criterion that matters.
