At best, it’s an attention seeking stunt, and at worst, it’s a mental illness. Either way, it can’t possibly last. Democrats will keep losing elections because of this insanity and lack of common sense. I get that it’s popular among gen z and millennials but will non-binary folks in their elder years or on their deathbeds still be going around demanding to be called they/them?
How long will the non-binary and they/them pronouns trends last?

It's not a trend. You think if it were some huge trend they'd make up more than .2% of the population or whatever

Oh, and the idea that anyone lost an election because of this is fucking hysterical but I guess actual facts like polls showing people voted based on the economy won't deter you from blaming non-binary people

R2: I’m not saying the democrats lost solely because of the non-binary insanity. Look this country is culturally conservative and most people are of the view that there are only two genders: male and female. I think deep down you know that like the Tooth Fairy, they/them is bullshit.

The trend is over among the youngest generation, OP. The only people still making a fuss are OLD histrionics.
Young people today are fascinated by neurodiversity. Nonbinary and trans - so what? Who cares.
All the action is about what neurodiverse condition someone has and needs to announce to the world.
This is my observation of the last 3 years as university professor.

R3, that's what people used to say to discourage Dems from fighting for gay marriage. "This country is culturally conservative! They'll never accept two dudes marrying"
Deep down I think you know that if you're on the same side as Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump, you're probably on the wrong side. Why would you side with the conservatives who fought against gay rights every step of the way? I find it a good rule of thumb to support everything conservatives hate

You're confusing two different issues, r5. Same-sex marriage is a question of legal and financial equality, whereby same-sex couples had previously been denied the full rights and protections enjoyed by heterosexual couples. Non-binary they/thems is a load of privileged middle-class nonsense. There are only two sexes, no one is neither male nor female, and being referred to by the pronouns that match your biological sex is not oppression or discrimination. Same-sex marriage didn't impinge on anyone else, remove other people's rights by, e.g. making them share single-sex activities and spaces with the other sex, nor did it try to rearrange society and force everyone else to go along with its ideology, regardless of whether they agree with it or not.

Actually one of the biggest cases FOR gay marriage involved David Boies a famous Democrat and Ted Olsen an well known Republican lawyer who worked to legalize it nationally. So I would say it's not the same as gay rights argument. You had SOME Republicans on board with gay marriage. Not so with the pronouns crowed.

How many times are you going to post this SAME thread OP?
You also spend your life posting this same message into as many threads as you can get it into.
It's you who's obsessed and it's you who is constantly talking about this. Not everyone else and definitely not the Democratic Party.
