I have autism, so I have a strong inner world and sense of self. I was a fanboy of Ayn Rand in high school. So, one thing that I hate about the modern online LGBT movement and its critics is that it's all based on an external locus of control. I noticed that the majority of the ad campaigns during the Pride movement treat its members as helpless victims with little sense of agency. Meanwhile, I noticed that the right wing also treats members of the LGBT communities as individuals with mental illness and/or addictions that were preyed upon by the LGBT-promoting media. IF that was the case, why were there people living a discreet(not closeted) "gay lifestyle" as early as the 1880s?
I will acknowledge that social pressure could focus some people not to act on their sexual urges, but not all.
