Rebel Wilson was always evasive about her actual age, and didn't correct reports that he was younger than she actually is. She never outright lied, though, and successfully sued a newspaper for defamation for claiming she did.

Most celebrities simply can't lie about their ages and get away with it for very long. Our lives are too well-documented right now and information is too easily available.

Carly Simon claimed she was born in 1946 since she got her start in the mid-60s. Very recently, a reporter got their hands on her birth certificate which shows she was born in 1943. She'll be 82 on June 25.

It's also been long rumored that Donna Mills was born in 1938, not 1940.

Carly Simon's birth records are on ancestry.com. She definitely shaved a few years off her age.

R18, no one born in California between 1905 and 1995 can lie about their age. Birth records are easily accessible online via the CA birth index, so Chastain was never going to be able to pull off fudging her birth year once she got mainstream fame.

Back in the day, actors would do this to be considered for an audition. If a casting call goes out for 16 -18 year olds, but a 20 year old actress really needs a job, the actress would knock two years off her age to get into the call.

The truth came out when she died in 1974, and her death certificate was publicized. A film historian once said that when she was starting out, being her real age could've kept her out of many projects.

When Liz Montgomery died, her family said she was 58 in her obituary, which would make her born in 1937. However, it was a known fact - and proven by her death certificate - she was born in 1933, making her 62 when she died.

John Leguizamo lied about both his age AND his ethnicity. He took 4 years off his age - but got exposed when he did Finding Your Roots. He was born in 1960, not 1964.

And he led the god dam Puerto Rican parade as grand Marshall - he's Colombian on both sides and he knew that. He claimed he was half Puerto Rican, but both parents immigrated from Colombia and lived in an area in Queens called Little Colombia.

Never trust a word that comes out of his mouth. The age discrepancy is even listed on his Wiki, giving both years.

I remember when SPY Magazine showed a photo of Nancy Reagan blowing out the candles on her birthday cake with "60" on top of it with the caption, "Nancy Reagan, 62, celebrates her 60th birthday."

For most of her public life, Nancy Reagan claimed she was born in 1923, not 1921. Doris Day was another who took two years off her age, claiming she was born in 1924, rather than 1922, the actual year of her birth.
