Russia may attack Nato in next four years, German defence chief warns

Maybe NATO countries need to do more about extinguishing Pootie.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 2, 2025 12:12 AM |
Yes, r1. They need to help Ukraine blow up as much Russian military equipment, too.
But anyone blowing Putin to smithereens would be fabulous.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 2, 2025 12:20 AM |
Russian army is in tatters. Bring it on.
I think a lot of European NATO countries have been to pacifist and neglectful of this danger.
If Russia attacks, it won't be long. Trump of course will not provide aid - but I don't think they need it. British, French, German, Italian, Spanish armies dwarf Russia.

I’m glad Trump and Putin don’t appear to be as tight as once thought. The thought of the United States aiding Russia against NATO is frightening, and it’s certain the Republicans would be fine with it.

Their relationship is unchanged. Dump is his lapdog. For someone who dishes insults so regularly and freely, he has never breathed an unkind word about Putin.

I think the Ukraine has proven Russia's military superiority is a myth.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 2, 2025 1:53 AM |
OP, enough.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 2, 2025 1:56 AM |
As Pootie loves to remind the world: “We have nukes.” So does NATO. Russia is a paper tiger. They are bogged down in a three year war against a country that had no military a few years before the invasion. Russia is running out of money and has had to empty its prisons and import North Korean goons to prop up its war effort. Color me unimpressed and unafraid. 🙄

Prussia and the Franks will have to manage the Moscovites together.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 2, 2025 2:33 AM |
I rather doubt it. Ukraine will never ever EVER give up. Even if they "lose", the resistance will be unending. So, a few more years of that... I'm not sure Russia will be in a stronger position than they are today after having lost so many troops and so much military equipment since 2022.
Also, this:

Yes, R1 and R2. Western Europe needs to get WWIII rolling tout de suite!
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 2, 2025 3:12 AM |
I know what you must be saying to yourselves. If that's the way she feels about it why doesn't she just end it all? Oh, no. Not me. I'm in no hurry for that final disappointment. For I know just as well as I'm standing here talking to you, when that final moment comes and I'm breathing my lst breath, I'll be saying to myself...

VLADIMIR, STOP!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 2, 2025 3:28 AM |
NO shit, you need this asshole to tell you that. It is amazing how we need these geezers and their media to tell us the obvious. Maybe NATO should get off their asses and do something to try to prevent it. Russia is about as likely to give up Crimea as The USA is to give up Hawaii. Those are the cards on the table. The Germans and the Russians are like the Muslims and the Hindus they have been ready to pounce on each other for quite a few years now. Russia has made its statement of demands. No Nato for Ukraine or any where East of its current borders. They know dam well the United States and NATO doesn't keep their promises, meddles in elections everywhere like they did in Ukraine before the war started. NO, don't even try to argue that one its completely documented. For one Nato needs to become reliable and truthful so they can be worth negotiating with. I'm no fan of Russian policies or Putin but we are talking about devastating world wrecking nuclear war here and its time for a sober assessment of the facts. There is blame to go around here. The good vs evil narrative thing is not going to get us out of this mess. Russia isn't losing just because NBC and BBC says so. last time I looked they were clearly occupying a good chunk of former Ukrainian. Furthermore their economy isn't crashing they have China and India as customers for their oil minerals and weapons. They have worldwide trading partners that want what they have unlike some NATO countries who are in deep trouble. You may hate Russia but they aren't loosing and they aren't going broke and they are not giving up.

Since Russia couldn’t win the war by emptying its prisons, it had to import poor North Korean serfs:
1. Manpower Shortages and Reluctance for Mobilization: Russia has suffered significant casualties in the war and faces manpower shortages. Another wave of mobilization in Russia could be unpopular and politically risky for the Kremlin. North Korea, with its large military and potentially less concern for casualties, offers a source of readily available manpower.

Attack the EU with WHAT EXACTLY? Russia won't even have a military 4 years from now.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 2, 2025 4:21 AM |
The one thing Russia DOES have is the most nuclear weapons on the planet with 5580 confirmed nuclear warheads (2024).
And they're pointed at the US and Europe. So that's always something to think about...

r14 is a complete Russian apologist. The abysmal grammar alone indicates a likely origin outside of the English-speaking sphere. Where's the acknowledgment that Russia attacked Ukraine not once but TWICE? First when Russia invaded Crimea, secondly when it swept its armies into the majority Russian-speaking parts of Ukraine. I think we can dismiss r14 as a Russian-bot.

[QUOTE]Maybe NATO should get off their asses
In that case, Maybe Russia should invade a NATO country like, Poland, r14, so that the NATO pact agreement can be initiated. Would you have a problem with that? You don't seem to understand what NATO is about.
Because yaking about "NATO getting off their asses" which you propose would be a HUGE international NATO treaty violation. Why do you want to go there? To give Russia a major violation/incentive to nuke the west?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 2, 2025 5:54 AM |
Oh no, braggart Russia making empty drunk threats again?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 2, 2025 6:10 AM |
Why do WE always have to be invaded before anyone does anything?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 2, 2025 6:11 AM |
On the bright side, it would at least slow Shitler down in his ongoing effort to wreck the USA. He might actually have to read his PDB,
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 2, 2025 6:17 AM |
I think he would only attack a NATO member if he was certain that the other members would chicken out and not defend the alliance. If the Russians were unable to defeat the Ukrainians then they won't stand a chance against the collective militaries of France, Germany, Holland, Canada, the UK, the Scandis etc. Even if the US chooses to sit that war out, the Europeans would mop the floor with the Russians.
I think the German is saying this because he doesn't want the European countries to be complacent.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 2, 2025 7:01 AM |
Russia can't defeat Ukraine...how the hell do they think they're gonna fight anyone else?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 2, 2025 7:29 AM |
Are they going to try and recruit more North Koreans to throw into their meat grinder?
That's been such a winning strategy for them so far!

Well the lapdog barked recently when he said that Putin had 'gone absolutely crazy.' Three years too late, but an interesting new lapdog tone.

By that time most of Trump’s troops will be decimated and most of their weapons destroyed. By Ukraine.
