It's tough to concentrate on actually bathing when you're in torrential rain.
Rain Showers are okay, but not very efficient

Elvis apparently stunk and didn't know how to shower, so Priscilla had a multi-jet shower installed, with one jet aimed precisely at his cheeesy-smelling dick.

I tried two shower towers in my bathrooms.
Chlorinated well water clogged the heads to where two strong streams of water shot at my neck and three hit the back wall over my head.
It was not the luxurious spa treatment I’d planned.

I have scar tissue/serious soreness on one side of my body b/c of a botched gallbladder removal, and I lost a bit of range of motion moving my arm on that side, so I love the handheld wand.
It definitely gives me a clean feeling and peace of mind that I'm very clean......down there.

Outdoor showers are best.

[quote]a botched gallbladder removal
You can't drop a nugget like that and not give more information. What happened? A robot did my gallbladder surgery.

R5 I'm not quite a "fat whore" but I wasn't a skinny minnie either when the surgery was done. It was laproscopic but probably shouldn't have been.
I've had pain and swelling every day since and there's some sort of soreness that starts from a bit under my arm and goes down considerably, so moving my arm, while not impossible, often hurts or triggers a spasm of my GI tract (which I think was also nicked during the surgery).
I'm also very fastidious about being clean, so the handheld wand is something I always try to get in any hotel/short term rental.

Golden showers

I prefer high pressure showers. I used to stay in this hotel which had phenomenal showers, great for after a long flight when it was practically a back massage. Then they showed me the plans to upgrade to rain showers. Nooooo.

I swear by my Whedon Super Savers. I have one in each shower. I promise, the nature of the spray and force fools you that you will not believe it is a water-saving shower head.

My brother was a water buffalo when we were growing up. Drove my father crazy to get in the shower before leaving for work and the hot water was kaput.

R9, those shower heads remind me of the shower heads in the high school locker room.

An old school plastic Water Pic shower massage, before the low-flow days, set to “Stun.”

Dear Nifty, you wouldn't BELIEVE what happened in my high school showers......

Whenever I stayed at a high end hotel or resort, I would take note of the shower heads I enjoyed the most. Turned out they were all made by the same company - Speakman. When I remodeled my bathroom I bought one. You must have good water pressure at home in order to maximize its performance. Fortunately I did. I also installed a handheld shower but use it primarily when cleaning the shower stall and bathing the dog.

And I'm assuming your hole before getting railed, R14.

I've had a Speakman AnyStream 2000 for 35 years. Great shower head.

When my parents sold their house five years ago I swapped out their original remaining 1964 shower head. It’s like an elephant shower. My ex hated it and thought it was too forceful but I love it.

Mine is strong, but that's partly because my house is within a 1/4 mile of a water tower at the top of a hill, so the water pressure to my house is quite powerful. I think people who take 20 minutes to shower should be required by law to use a low-pressure shower, but for those of us who are completely done in 4 minutes, a high-pressure shower head should be our reward.
