I wonder if other stars had these.
Just about the most incredible gift a DLer could ever receive

The eyebrows aren't NEARLY thick enough. And dark enough. And scary enough.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 31, 2025 8:08 PM |
Sure, she gave head as well as hole, but this is ridiculous.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 31, 2025 8:15 PM |
Poor Bette.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 31, 2025 8:18 PM |
I'd rather have it as a candle.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 31, 2025 8:22 PM |
I think that's Greer Garson with a permanent wave, not Bette.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 31, 2025 8:25 PM |
No Helen Lawson? One assumes hers would have to be anatomically correct.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 31, 2025 8:38 PM |
No uvula and a jaw that can unhinge?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 31, 2025 8:42 PM |
Is she drowning in semen?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 31, 2025 8:56 PM |
I saw one of those, r8, and I'm still kicking myself I didn't get it.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 31, 2025 8:56 PM |
Is there a Barbara Stanwyck one? I could be tempted.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 31, 2025 9:18 PM |
No Nancy Davis doorknobs?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 31, 2025 9:40 PM |
Nancy Davis kneepads.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 31, 2025 10:37 PM |
How about a celebrity candle " Merry Wicks"?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 31, 2025 11:35 PM |
r17: These were made by "Marti of Hollywood" in 1941 and have Carmen's impressed 'signature' on the side.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 31, 2025 11:53 PM |
The Marilyn one looks like an alien
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 1, 2025 12:07 AM |
R27, that would frighten small children
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 1, 2025 12:22 AM |
Shouldn’t a head vase be of Nancy Reagan
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 1, 2025 12:36 AM |
[Quote] [R27], that would frighten small children
And with good reason. Trust me.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 1, 2025 12:37 AM |
The Carmen Miranda one at R17 actually resembles her.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 1, 2025 12:58 AM |
The Kim Novak at r23 is probably more organic and life like than the actual Miss Novak.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 1, 2025 12:59 AM |
These are generally terrible likenesses. Hedy Lamarr could as easily be Ava Gardner or Anna Chancellor. Did people use them as vases, do we think? It would be a very strange look to have flowers sprouting out of the top of the heads.
The Carmen Miranda one is pretty good, though, and the Joan Crawford one would be fine with thicker eyebrows, as someone said above.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 1, 2025 1:08 AM |
Joan had thin eyebrows in her early days of stardom.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 1, 2025 1:16 AM |
R21 that looks more like Eve Arden than Marilyn Monroe; terrible likeness
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 1, 2025 2:56 AM |
That looks edible. Is it hazelnut-flavored?!?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 1, 2025 3:08 AM |
r22 looks like Dorothy Lamour or maybe Virginia O'Brien.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 1, 2025 3:22 AM |
"Has your son found himself a young lady yet?"
"No, he's a bit busy putting flowers into his Joan Crawford and Bette Davis vases."
"Oh, sorry, I didn't know."
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 1, 2025 3:24 AM |
How come only Lucy presents tits?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 1, 2025 3:32 AM |
Some look like their namesakes and most look totally random. The Joan, one Marilyn, Clark, Carmen and Jackie look recognizable.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | June 1, 2025 10:38 PM |
I have over a hundred lady head vases in storage, from when I lived in a 1940s house in downtown Orlando. My husband HATES them. Just for fun I hide them around the house once in a while.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | June 1, 2025 10:52 PM |
And then the Eve Arden head vase starts talking to him and he guts you like a fish all because she [bold]LOATHES [/bold]your shoes…….
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 1, 2025 11:09 PM |
I have a copy of the Jackie-As-Widow Head Vase, although she hardly would have worn a white scarf or mantilla with a black frock and black glamour gloves. I have a philodendron for it, but I'm running behind in my planting by a week.
I have a Jack Kennedy one, too. However, to plant something in the open space at the back of the head seems in very poor taste.
Unless I try something like this.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 2, 2025 12:06 AM |
There are a lot of succulents down there.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 2, 2025 12:46 AM |
None of them look as good as Malverde.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 4, 2025 7:58 AM |
Jesus all of these are creepy looking! This is something you would find at the estate sale of a dearly departed nonagenarian.
Are they hollow? How thick is the ceramic? Could you potentially put a light inside it? I think it would be cool to have the Joan Crawford one as a light that comes on in your closet to remind you not to use wire hangers!
