Latest on Russia and the 2026 Olympics

No team participation. Potentially, one male and one female skater could participate as individuals.

Fast forward to 2028 and it will be interesting to see which countries decide to boycott the LA games - just think of all that Trump and his team can get up over the next three years.

I’m already cringing at what his speech opening the games will be like - as head of state it’s his responsibility.

He doesn’t get to make a speech. He reads two sentences out loud.

But it’s Trump R2, he’ll somehow blow convention and say a lot more and embarrass the US.

The World Cup is going to be much more interesting and much more disastrous.

I've been saying the World Cup is really going to be a litmus for the Olympics. I've even wondered if things get really bad whether FIFA will pull the U.S. matches and move them to Canada and Mexico. Things could get really much worse.

Adam Nagourney at his worst.

Why he’s allowed to cover L.A. for the Times, I’ll never understand.

Who the hell is going to want to risk traveling to the US for the World Cup? There were still be some, I'm sure - but they've FAFO and international tourism is dropping on its own NOW. Just wait another year.

Besides the customs and unlawful detainment bullshit, some people just don't want to support a Trump America. And that's their choice and I would do the same.

The President or leader of a country generally has a small role in the Olympics opening/closing ceremony - and Trump may be out on his ass by then if we win mid-term elections next year. Please please please.

“Who the hell is going to want to risk traveling to the US for the World Cup?”

Every fucking team that qualifies, that’s who!
