It’s too long by about 30 minutes with WAY too much exposition. But the action scenes are amazing. Definitely worth seeing on an IMAX.
We just saw Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning

R3 - and the woman on the submarine is a big old lezzer. It's Katy O'Brian from Love Lies Bleeding.

I haven't seen any of the films but I remember watching reruns of the TV series in the 1970s as a baby leftie and thinking , people really believe this is what the CIA does.

The Mission Impossible series has done well over the last 30 years to ensure the cast has been "diverse" without being earnest about it.
There's been a deliberate effort to find roles for Black and Asian women and at no point have the castings felt tokenistic.

there was a possibly hot Asian guy in the submarine. We did not see him with a shirt off though. So we can’t tell if he is actually hot.

Saw it yesterday. It tries really hard to be the best of the franchise, but it falls short. The biggest criticisms about it are accurate: the first hour or so is an exposition dump and an attempt to connect every film in the franchise to make it seem like there was always a master plan. It doesn't work that well. The last 90 minutes are excellent, though. The submarine sequence was the best set piece of the film.
The biggest surprise was bringing back the CIA vault guy, William Donloe, from the first film. Not only was he made part of the team, but he was given a fairly significant story arc.
Tom's longer hair was regrettable. He looks like a lesbian who got a good deal at the Wig Barn.

One of the characters - I forget who - even comments on his longer hair. I didn't think it was that noticeable. I honestly don't remember how his hair was in the last few films.

Did Tom style his hair specifically for the ridiculous plane sequence that he very obviously filmed himself with no stunt men because you could very obviously see his hair being blown about?
