I think federal law prohibits it because there are people still employed that have to work and it would make work conditions unsafe. Also sounds like it's a private plane in the sense that it's not part of the large airline and had other passengers who would also be effective.

The Mirror headline is misleading… she wasn’t on a truly private jet. It was on JSX which is a niche commercial carrier that charters small jets with fewer seats and more privacy than what you’d find on a standard airline. The rules and regulations onboard in regards to smoking and alcohol consumption are no different than being on something like American Airlines.

They have quite a few routes out of LAX to markets like Cabo, Las Vegas, Tahoe, Santa Fe, etc..

Maybe the rule is SHE can’t smoke on a private plane….
