The movie should have ended with Conrad putting a pillow over the cunt's face.
And maybe Buck deliberately let go? Are we sure they weren't fucking? That one scene of them sure has erotic undertones.

I think Beth had a thing for Bucky. No doubt in my mind she was willing to consider incest with him. She hated Conrad for living.

I felt sorry for Beth. She was the weakest family member, brittle and unable to deal with the loss of Buck. Calvin and Conrad clearly struggled but they tried to move forward, ultimately succeeding. Beth simply wasn't strong enough to do that, clinging to her social image and status to mask her weakness.
Beth just didn't have the strength to move forward with her life and appreciate what she still had... a son and a husband. In the end, Beth lost both of them
Beth may have been brittle, status oriented and difficult. However, merely labeling Beth as a "miserable bitch" is too easy for such a complex, tragic character.

Beth planned for perfection, but didn't know that she couldn't handle living without it until it happened. I used to think she was a bitch but the whole dynamic was doomed. It would have just been slower if Buck hadn't died. If he lived it just would have been Beth and Buck versus the other two in smaller ways.

I never thought MTM was acting the part. I bet that’s why RR thought of her.

Would Beth have been able to deal with it if Buck was, as is often surmised, a proud and active male homosexual?

Buck would never have started this thread.

Buck was busy getting bukkake'd by the neighborhood dads.

R2- Is Beth Jarrett.

Beth never had the courage to confront and process her pain and grief. Conrad and Calvin did. My favorite scene is where Conrad is sitting on the veranda steps and Beth, for once, actually seems ready to listen to him. She is scared to death. The air is fraught with tension. And then, and then…..the phone rings and rather than letting it ring she answers it, and laughs, “oh, I wasn’t doing anying, hahaha.” Cut to Connie’s face. Wow!
