Diarrhea

I have diarrhea nearly every morning. It’s no IBS because I don’t have spasms or cramping or discomfort of any kind. It’s especially difficult if I’m having breakfast out. What do you think it is?

by Anonymousreply 86May 23, 2025 3:19 AM

Can I have your stuff, OP?

by Anonymousreply 1May 21, 2025 8:03 PM

Diarrhea, Diarrhea

Men have named you

by Anonymousreply 4May 21, 2025 8:12 PM

Who eats breakfast out?

Check on acid reflux in addition to IBS.

by Anonymousreply 5May 21, 2025 8:13 PM

by Anonymousreply 6May 21, 2025 8:16 PM

Is it the coffee? Can’t do without

by Anonymousreply 7May 21, 2025 8:17 PM

This was my father’s only symptom before finding out he had stage 4 bowel cancer, but it’s probably nothing OP.

by Anonymousreply 8May 21, 2025 8:18 PM

Look at the sunny side, OP.

Face it, OP: you're full of shit.

by Anonymousreply 10May 21, 2025 8:21 PM

Obvious possibilities:

- side effect from meds?

- is this a new thing or has it happened a lot over the years? IBS or food intolerances can do this.

It’s definitely something to mention to your primary care physician.

by Anonymousreply 11May 21, 2025 8:23 PM

When your climbing up a ladder and you feel something splatter it’s DIARRHEA!!

by Anonymousreply 12May 21, 2025 8:24 PM

OP, do you take natural supplements like magnesium? Too much magnesium can give you diarrhea.

by Anonymousreply 13May 21, 2025 8:26 PM

Post nasal drip.

by Anonymousreply 14May 21, 2025 8:33 PM

Carolinerhea

by Anonymousreply 15May 21, 2025 8:37 PM

GO TO A GI DOCTOR, OP.

And don't ask what "GI" means.

by Anonymousreply 17May 21, 2025 8:46 PM

Explicit scat thread

by Anonymousreply 18May 21, 2025 8:49 PM

Diarrhea. A One Drag Queen Shit Show.

by Anonymousreply 20May 21, 2025 8:57 PM

I’m not to the army, r17

by Anonymousreply 21May 21, 2025 9:01 PM

Tell your primary doc about this ASAP and request a referral to a GI doc. Don't hold back. They'll want all the gross details. This is not the time to be prissy about that.

Am now 8 years in remission following 3 horrible years of worsening symptoms and treatments for colorectal cancer.

by Anonymousreply 22May 21, 2025 9:10 PM

Tell me more, OP. And don't spare the details.

by Anonymousreply 23May 21, 2025 9:11 PM

Sounds like rabies. Drink plenty of water because rabies makes you thirsty.

by Anonymousreply 24May 21, 2025 9:12 PM

Time to get your crap together OP.

by Anonymousreply 25May 21, 2025 9:15 PM

I suggest Colon Blow Cereal

Diarrhea? I've been on Ozempic for a few months and I LONG for diarrhea, OP.

by Anonymousreply 27May 21, 2025 9:17 PM

Get into your PCP and get a referral for a colonoscopy

by Anonymousreply 28May 21, 2025 9:22 PM

OP I have suffered from IBD nearly all my life. For a while I took Metamucil and I was having these horrible spasms, constipation followed by terrible spasms and diarrhea. I stopped the Metamucil and now I rarely have an attack. But I also know that I need to get my fiber from what I eat. You might have an opposite problem in the sense that the foods you eat are triggering. Now I strongly agree with everyone telling you to get to a doctor, and especially a GI specialist. Gastroenterologist. Some times you can have blood in your stool and not see it. And having a very loose stool doesn't mean you don't have a blockage. You need to put yourself on a very restricted diet and see what may possibly be triggering. Maybe it is coffee. Or maybe it's something else. Make sure you're drinking enough water , at least 64 -70 ounces a day. Make sure you get enough exercise. A 30 minute walk daily. At a minimum. Avoid fresh fruit and fresh vegetables and nuts until you get checked out. No red meat or processed fatty foods. You got to get it checked and fast.

by Anonymousreply 29May 21, 2025 9:36 PM

No pain no strain just sit and let it drain.

What are you complaining about? I love diarrhea!

by Anonymousreply 30May 21, 2025 9:39 PM

I was having total toilet blowouts and it was because I was lactose intolerant and was eating a lot of yogurt. I thought the yogurt was helping my system, when it was actually the problem.

by Anonymousreply 31May 21, 2025 9:46 PM

Anxiety?

by Anonymousreply 32May 21, 2025 9:50 PM

OP This is a very temporary solution, but until you see a doctor, maybe you need to take some Lomotil or other anti diarrhea medicine

by Anonymousreply 33May 21, 2025 9:59 PM

You have cancer of your tooter.

One too many booze-soaked nights?

by Anonymousreply 37May 21, 2025 10:19 PM

[Quote] I have diarrhea nearly every morning.

I knew a woman who had diarrhea nearly every morning. She’s in the bathroom now.

by Anonymousreply 38May 21, 2025 10:19 PM

Same problem, OP. Do you take Metformin and have multiple cups of coffee in the morning?

by Anonymousreply 39May 21, 2025 10:23 PM

This is how you stay so thin!

by Anonymousreply 40May 21, 2025 10:23 PM

Oh the diarrhea songs we used to sing on the school bus when I was a child.

"Some people think it's gross but it's really good on toast, DIARRHEA!! DIARRHEA!!"

by Anonymousreply 41May 21, 2025 10:24 PM

Metformin was killing me. My doctor took me off of it.

by Anonymousreply 42May 21, 2025 10:32 PM

Are you taking medications or supplements that cause this? Magnesium can have a laxative effect if you take more than your body can easily tolerate.

by Anonymousreply 43May 21, 2025 10:32 PM

[Quote] booze-soaked nights

That sounds sticky and uncomfortable

by Anonymousreply 44May 21, 2025 10:33 PM

When you’re riding in your Chevy and you feel something heavy?

When slide into third do you fell a juicy turd?

DIARRHEA! DIARRHEA!

by Anonymousreply 48May 21, 2025 11:16 PM

This is a stealth scat thread...or a sad goodbye.

by Anonymousreply 49May 21, 2025 11:22 PM

Only in the morning, OP?

Then it's not the D word.

You drink too much booze and/or coffee.

by Anonymousreply 50May 21, 2025 11:44 PM

Sprinkle dried flower petals on the mess and flush it all down with fizzy water!

by Anonymousreply 51May 21, 2025 11:45 PM

Does it sink or does it sit on the surface like the poisonous blood spray in Tammy's "War of the Worlds"?

by Anonymousreply 52May 21, 2025 11:50 PM

Szschartszsch!

Ha!

by Anonymousreply 53May 21, 2025 11:53 PM

You're lactose intolerant - see a dr.

by Anonymousreply 54May 22, 2025 12:01 AM

Dr. Quack @ r33, if the OP has an infection such as c. diff or others, taking anti-diarrhea meds could be severely damaging.

OP, see a doc.

by Anonymousreply 55May 22, 2025 12:06 AM

How long have you had the diarrhea? Most likely you gut microbiome is out of whack rather than any serious medical issue.

How is your diet? Do you normally include a wide variety of plant based foods or mostly processed stuff?

by Anonymousreply 56May 22, 2025 1:24 AM

Eat some kimchi. That'll set things right.

by Anonymousreply 57May 22, 2025 1:28 AM

OP may have one of them tape worm things.

by Anonymousreply 58May 22, 2025 1:45 AM

I just learned the German word for diarrhea is:

Durchfall

It sounds great! No wonder Germans love it

It sounds like a British detective series staring David Tennant

by Anonymousreply 59May 22, 2025 4:05 AM

Is this the sad and soiled end

by Anonymousreply 60May 22, 2025 5:33 AM

You need fiber to firm it up.

by Anonymousreply 61May 22, 2025 6:59 AM

🤣😂😆R59!!

by Anonymousreply 62May 22, 2025 7:01 AM

OP, I developed lactose intolerance in my 50s. It took me awhile to figure it out. No more half n half in my morning coffee. Still, if I drink too much coffee, I'll have " a problem."

by Anonymousreply 63May 22, 2025 8:36 AM

You have the cancer of the doo doo, OP. Get your paperwork in order.

by Anonymousreply 64May 22, 2025 9:07 AM

[quote]I just learned the German word for diarrhea is: Durchfall

Wrong. It's Drumpf - which has been changed to Trump.

by Anonymousreply 65May 22, 2025 11:54 AM

I have IBS-D. My daily morning routine involves many trips to the john, a lot of times without cramps. I’ve traced a few food sensitivities and know to avoid those foods. It can be a thing, though, OP. It can be a symptom of many things. See a dr. In the meantime, try something like a daily probiotic.

by Anonymousreply 66May 22, 2025 12:22 PM

It’s giardia because you like eating ass. I warned you!!

by Anonymousreply 67May 22, 2025 12:25 PM

A few years back I thought I’d start each morning by eating a pear. A hour later I have to rush to the toilet with diarrhea. It took a while to figure out the links. Apparently pears have a specific form of sugar that causes this. Great of you have constipationz

by Anonymousreply 68May 22, 2025 12:26 PM

Don’t listen to anyone on DL who even suggests this might have anything to do with eating ass or getting fucked without a condom if you are into eating ass or fucked without a condom..

by Anonymousreply 69May 22, 2025 12:34 PM

I think vaping copious amounts of pot is giving me the runs

by Anonymousreply 70May 22, 2025 2:23 PM

Sucks for you

by Anonymousreply 71May 22, 2025 2:28 PM

Another humblebragging OP.

by Anonymousreply 72May 22, 2025 3:30 PM

Try going gluten free for a week

by Anonymousreply 73May 22, 2025 3:38 PM

OP, I do hope you will come back and let us know how you're doing. I hate when people don't.

by Anonymousreply 74May 22, 2025 3:45 PM

Diarrhea, cha, cha, cha

by Anonymousreply 75May 22, 2025 4:00 PM

OP, eat Play-Doh!

That'll slow it down, build it up and make it pretty!

And you can make it any shape you like!

by Anonymousreply 76May 22, 2025 4:11 PM

R76=Erna

by Anonymousreply 77May 22, 2025 4:14 PM

I prefer the British spelling: diarrhoea. It's uglier, messier, more appropriate.

by Anonymousreply 78May 22, 2025 4:40 PM

R78, you're right. The "o" in the British version adds a gaping, explosive hole in the middle of the word.

by Anonymousreply 79May 22, 2025 5:23 PM

Eat a block of cheddar cheese and drink a bottle of Jack Daniels. That'll block you right up.

by Anonymousreply 80May 22, 2025 5:26 PM

My boyfriends a nurse and he thinks it’s either a germ or there’s a dietary issue I don’t have cramps or spasms and my stools haven’t any blood in them. I do drink coffee, at least two cups every morning and I drink alcohol. Must I give up alcohol?

by Anonymousreply 81May 23, 2025 12:56 AM

R10 I was going to ask about alcohol. Yes, discontinue that for now. If you have some germ or your flora got messed up, alcohol just exasperates it. And limit your coffee intake, it is a diuretic.

by Anonymousreply 82May 23, 2025 1:08 AM

Is it a wide spray or does it pulsate from side to side like one of those lawn irrigators?

Does it start wet or is it like a soft-serve and then it goes to a hard rain?

Does the color change?

by Anonymousreply 83May 23, 2025 1:34 AM

OP you will hate this but you gotta stop with the coffee and the alcohol. Have green tea or a non caffeinated herbal tea. No milk. Have a small bowl of plain, 0% fat yogurt with some granola. Don't eat fresh fruit or vegetables for a couple weeks. And do not eat red meat, fatty foods or processed foods. Avoids sweets, too. Drink water during the day. It's important. About 64 ounces a day. Good luck. Oh. Avoid spicey foods too.

by Anonymousreply 84May 23, 2025 2:28 AM

Im sure id rather die than follow that prescription r84. I am grateful however

by Anonymousreply 85May 23, 2025 2:30 AM

Stop eating at Greg's.
