In a fiery Instagram post Melissa Gilbert wrote, "Reminder: Joe Biden is not going to read all of your callous, vicious comments about how cancer is 'karma' for bad people and how happy you are about the suffering and pain he'll endure."
"But cancer survivors will read them," she insisted. "And people who have just been diagnosed will read them. And people who are watching someone they love wasting away from it will read them. And people who have buried their spouses, children, or parents because they didn't survive it will read them."
She ended by imploring them to "stop being awful."
