What always amuses me about these porn discussions on the op-ed pages is that they are always exclusively about straight porn, about the make gaze and the way men see and objectify women, amd how that freaks women out, destroys their self-esteem, etc.

There’s never an admission that this is just the way men are wired and that gay men objectify each other all the time and accept that as normal. So I don’t see gay porn going away anytime soon, especially as much porn these days is the amateur kind, which most seem to prefer.

And I couldn’t care less if straight porn goes away, though I don’t see that happening either.
