As a teenager having my Andy Warhol phase in the mid-2000s, I was the prime audience for this movie. Upon revisiting it as a fully-formed adult, it's really kind of a superficial mess, though I think Sienna Miller's performance in it is worth watching. I am on the fence about Guy Pearce's portrayal of Warhol, and I think Hayden Christensen simply doesn't work here. I know some people have criticized it for portraying Warhol as a semi-super villain. Were/are you a fan? A hater? Do you think the film did Edith Minturn Sedgwick justice?
terrible film. but shes good.

Sienna Miller is an excellent actress--she never got the attention she deserved. She was also terrific as 'Tippi' Hedren in the TV movie "The Girl."

Have never quite understood how Warhol was to blame for her life choices.
She was a mess before she became involved with the Factory and she was only around for about a year and a half.

Sienna's career suffered I think largely due to her affair with Jude Law. She was branded a home-wrecking whore in the media and most people never forgot it. Despite that, yes, she is an excellent actress.
She did an indie drama some years back called "American Woman" which got zero publicity and was dumped into a handful of theaters on limited release. I had never heard of it at the time but was in the mood to go to the movies and picked it on a whim . I was the only person in the theater, and I was utterly captivated. There is not much story to it—it's about a woman (Miller) living in the rust belt, and follows her life in the years just before and after her daughter goes missing. It is an excellent sort of homespun drama, and her performance in it floored me. She should've gotten an Oscar nomination.

they were trying to make her part of an acting power couple and when that relationship ended, her career faltered. she had the looks and the talent.

No one has done the Edie Sedgwick story justice yet. Same for Sylvia Plath and Janis Joplin.

As a Warhol disciple I was greatly disappointed in the film. A lot of it was based on information in George Plimpton and Jill Stein’s excellent biography. Still, the film was a mess.
And yes I agree, she nailed Edie onscreen and made her seem completely real. The best thing about the film.
