My Brazillian ex was naturally beautiful. Honestly, she was drop-dead gorgeous, and she never, ever wore make-up. Her hair was so thick and lustrous I could barely find her scalp with my fingers. Her eyelashes were so thick they put JD's to shame. And she was the only woman in my entire life that I could scoop up in my arms and gently lay down in her bed.

But you know my type: gorgeous, brilliant, and bat-shit crazy. There's a good reason she was my last gf before I lost my sex drive.

Ok - another one I bet was gorgeous without makeup when she was younger is Sela Ward.

I was in a building once in Beverly Hills that housed a major talent agency. I went into the elevator as I had an appointment on the 6th floor. Just as the doors were about to close, some woman comes rushing in, stops the doors, and gets in. It seemed obvious she was in a rush, probably late for whatever appointment she had. She was in jeans, sweatshirt, messed up hair, like she had overslept her alarm. NO MAKE-UP.

She relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief for the few seconds she had until the elevator doors opened on her floor. I got a good glance at her face. She was drop dead gorgeous. The second she departed her floor, I realized: It was Michelle Pfeiffer.

R42 I would never say she was homely, but I never understood why everyone was so gobstruck about her 'beauty'. That being said, I agree she doesn't need makeup to change those views.

It's really about natural pigmentation - those who have a lot of pigmentation like dark or bright eyes, with good contrast between facial skin and hair - not similar tones; good skin, defined brows and lashes (aka - not light or blonde or titian); some natural flush to their cheeks; fuller lips, good facial structure - look best without makeup. If you are naturally pale and washed out, chances are you don't look that great without makeup.

R42 & R43 - I've always assumed her thin but curvy body (big knockers) have a lot to do with her overall appeal and beauty to the masses. Her deep voice, too, makes her stand out.

I always just see her as a child actress who grew up, though. She's not particularly interesting to me.
