r8, the trouble with using terms usually associated with mid 20th century European dictators to describe the 21st century Republican party is that it makes their actions seem foreign and unprecedented. They're not. They can be traced back as recently as the George W. Bush administration (government cheerleading the persecution of minority groups, ignoring domestic and international laws, suppressing dissent) and even further back to such cozily American 20th century traditions as segregation, eugenics and right wing ideological censorship that labels every belief left of the KKK as Communist, godless and criminal.

R10 DEI was only implemented to discriminate against white men and it mainly benefits black women, whom the far-left worship like goddesses.

Dems also pushed "fat acceptance" and made it so that doctors were afraid to tell their patients that they were overweight.

They even passed laws in some states making it illegal to comment on a black person's hair.

In general, Democrats created a climate of fear so the last five years were like walking on eggshells lest you say/do something that was illegal.

All Trump is doing is taking away CRT, DEI, trans/nonbinary ideology, and closing the borders, which the Dems don't like one bit and are thus demonizing Trump.

But the joke's on them, because most Americans don't want them, either, so if Dems keep pushing them, they'll keep losing.

They are right about the development of what they describe as fascism in the US today. I prefer to call it authoritarian and illiberal democracy, because fascism in the 20th century was at its heart anticommunist.

Still, they are right.

They are wrong to leave the USA. Why do they not fight in the classrooms of American universities, in their writings in a still-free, American press, on American street, at American ballot boxes, and in American courtrooms.

There's a part of me that thinks they are cowards in leaving.
