It was a fundraiser for a local animal shelter on the verge of being shut down. So sweet!

I just can't hate on it because I love cats too much. The father-daughter dance is hilarious.

I love it. The owner’s s been planning this since she was 18 when she got the it as a kitten. Any time is a good time to have a party.

I have actually seen much better cat quinceañeras, but it's super sweet of them to support the cat rescue. It's just that this cat doesn't look like she's tolerating it that well and the people seem a little pushy with her.

As a lifelong cat person I've always said costumes belong on dogs, not the impossibly regal cat...

However.... I broke down and did it for my girl's 10th birthday last September 11, and I suspect she's still harboring some resentment (hence, the baleful glare). But I have almost 4-1/2 years to prepare her for the big 15th.

Unlike dogs (which i also love), cats are so protean it's often really difficult to capture them in still shots, so one may look at a cat and think "Wow, I absolutely love the way Cat looks here--I'm gonna take some pics!" Then you find the 30 quick-shot images you just took in NO WAY capture what the cat actually looked like in that moment.

Anyway, here's another of my girl, mean-mugging me as she sits on the vet's scale last month. Like, she was so livid she REFUSED to look me in the eye.

r31 here and I'm well aware of the fact cats cannot have any plants of the allium family. Cumulus did a little quality control of the tuna before anything went in it. The skipjack was edible!
