Says the author: "Rocky Horror... works great in a social setting, so enjoy it at your local midnight screening or alternative nightclub. But remember, social settings are how you get social diseases!"

"Sweet Transvestite" to wash away the puritanical handwringing of the author

the fun and transgressive vibe of the picture seems to be completely lost on this tightassed nimrod.

That’s not what it says, OP.

What dumbass OP leaves out. Retard:
[quote]Frank-n-Furter is a negative take on trans people in a sex-negativist film, and why do we still watch it without harsher commentary? Yes, yer curmudgeonly gunkle is about to question the iconic and much-revered Rocky Horror Picture Show. "But Hank," you might say, "what has this venerable bastion of queerness, a stage show and film we have loved and cherished for fifty years now ever done to you?" Wow, fifty years, huh? Yes, the queen of all midnight movie screenings turns 50 this year, and, well, I have some issues. Yes, I am daring to take umbrage with this old workhorse. Why? Because in recent years, it's gotten the pass that we haven't afforded others, and I'm curious as to why that is.

That’s not the gist of it, r7.

Say what you will about some of her life choices, but Susie Sarandon really did have fantastic breasts:

If i were to meet this bitch Id slap him. Rocky Horror opened my eyes to a world I had no idea existed . Growing up in a redneck working class area the characters looked like nothing Id ever seen and I wanted MORE ! And found it too.

I first saw it on DVD just a couple years ago. I wanted to see it alone to concentrate on why it was such a phenomenon.
Tom Curry was good, but the rest left me cold.

R12 it's wildly uneven and then it sputters out through the end. But the good stuff is very good, especially for a teen audience.
