Let's be an elegant Guy Fieri restaurant!

There will never be such a thing as an elegant Guy Fieri anything. The Rapture is more likely to happen first.

I like Guy Fieri. No, he’s not a champion of refined haute cuisine, but he spotlights independent, mom-and-pop, often immigrant-owned restaurants throughout the country. A segment on his show can generate years of steady business for such places.

Guy Fieri and elegant are mutually exclusive. He's likeable though.

R2 - agreed - although a few of the places are overrated for sure.

I'd still take a roll in the hay with him and his dark tan lines and beefy white butt.

Ever eaten in a Guy Fieri joint and NOT gotten the runs?

Do his "restos" serve eggs? BC he sure hates eggs, and I wouldn't trust a "chef" who does.

Last I heard, Guy Fieri was a raging homophobe. Why talk about him here?

A long long long time ago we went to one of his restaurants in Windsor CA. We parked, and opened the door. The foyer was a buzzing with so many flies we turned around and left.

R8 - apparently that was a misunderstanding - he did a huge gay marriage ceremony (over 100 gay couples) years ago in Florida and has been supportive of gay rights and gay marriage.

There was a rumor he said something like 20 years ago about how he needed to be warned ahead of time if the chef was gay. That was alleged by an ex-producer of the show who was fired and was suing the network - so take it with a grain of salt.

People grow up and change.
