Walking Tall star who hated MST3K for lampooning him has popped his clogs.
Heart pounding, veins clogging!

I thought he’d died years ago. Maybe I’m thinking of the sheriff he played.
Wasn’t a fan except for his role in the classic 1985 UK thriller Edge of Darkness (6 episodes) which is worth watching.

He was great in that Gary Sinise/Angelina Jolie miniseries about George Wallace, playing legendary progressive Alabama governor Big Jim Folsom.
I also loved him as Chief Gillespie's temporary replacement on In the Heat of the Night when Carroll O'Connor was rehabbing from a heart attack.
Always enjoyed watching when he popped up on my TV.

As soon as a size picture I know I'd seen him somewhere but couldn't think of exactly where and I saw he was in Goldeneye Tomorrow never dies and while I saw both of those I really don't remember single thing about either except that Teri Hatcher dies in one of them.
Then as I was reading further down I noticed that some of his movies didn't even have Wikipedia link and I thought oh they don't even have their own wiki page which is weird but then it started me thinking about all the human knowledge is still probably isn't available digitally. And how I would love to be an archivist of some sort to go and collect in digitalize and make sure that information remains available for all time I think part of my job for that is when there would be out of print records and albums that I spent my teen years searching through dozens of music stores for.
Anyway then I realized it was from and he the heat of the night. I've seen the two episodes he did subbing for Carroll O'Connor numerous times while caring for my elderly father who always had in the heat of the night or Matlock murder she wrote stuff like that on all day.

He does remind me of Hoyt Axton who is like my first daddy crush ever since I saw him in Gremlins and also my dad had one of his records. I still like listening to his songs.

He slobbers all over Linda Evans’ bare feet in the movie Mitchell, and the MST3K guys said they cut that scene out because it was too gross. They conjectured that JDB himself had wanted to shoot that for obvious reasons.

Mitchell is one of my favorite MST3K episodes

It's somewhat odd that the two lead actresses from WALKING TALL (Elizabeth Hartman and Brenda Benet) both killed themselves... isn't it?
