I hate Airbnb. It has made my beloved birthplace of Vancouver and too many other cities unaffordable.

A few years ago, an AirBnB PAC was created. He appears to give it $5000 a year (which in 2024 represented about 1/6 of the total PAC). Contributions made to various candidates appear to be pretty evenly split between Democrats and Republicans - mostly at the Representative level. Dump's name doesn't show up. I'm assuming the PAC picks people who are friendly to the tourism-travel industry.

Prior to that, Chesky's personal donations were all Democratic. One year he have something just under $5000 to almost every state Democratic committee. Individual candidates he's supported in the past included: Alex Padilla, Chuck Schumer, Cory Booker, and Nancy Pelosi. He also gave money to Kamala for her California U.S. Senate run, as well as Hillary's 2016 run for president.

Not to dispute what you're saying, I believe you, but Zuckerberg and Musk have both donated to the Democratic Party in the past as well. Some of these CEOs seem to be able to opportunistically turn MAGA on a dime.

Forbes reported this back in March 2025 and noted how the company is trying to distance itself from Gebbia. It also pointed out that the other two co-founders, Brian Chesky and Nate Blecharczyk, have other political leanings.

All of these tech billionaires have one thing in common: they're socially-stunted computer nerds who nobody gave the time of day and lucked into a good idea at the right time.

Now they think that luck proves they are geniuses and that they are more capable than most people and should have more power and say over everything in society.
