Gay Campgrounds
First off... Yes, I know. I'm a whore, Darlin'.
I've been having dreams about hanging out outside naked. Just feeling free and breezy. Lately it feels like I should really just do it. Live the fantasy.
So, I did a little research, and there are three different gay, clothing-optional campgrounds within 2.5 hours of me. They all have relatively inexpensive cabins I can rent for a night or two. They are especially cheap during the week, and that's when I think I want to go. I kind of want to avoid the big "theme weekends" they all have for my first time.
Yes, I know, there is a sexual element to all of it, and I'm not against it. However, I do think the idea of being a nudist for a few days is more exciting to me. Just swimming and relaxing without a stitch on for 48 hours.
Has anyone ever gone to one of these places?
Fun? Gross? Boring?
Spill it, fellow whores.

I think you're confusing a gay campground with a nudist and sex-oriented campground. They're not. Some may have an area or a weekend - but I wouldn't expect to see all nudity or even a lot of it at a gay campground - unless it's someone's personal area only.
The sexual element is also secondary. The focus is on camping and gay community. And you're going to find cliques - particularly those who are 'permanent' residents for the summer - those with campers on the grounds and are there every weekend.

OP here.
The three places I have found nearby are all touted as "Clothing Optional"
One of them lists the only place people need to wear clothing is in the main office and in their restaurant.

I used to go to a clothing-optional campground in WV years ago. It was a really nice experience for years, then it became popular and essentially became an extension of the bars, along with the usual gay bullshit and clique crap. It’s pretty freeing to be able to be naked in the woods, and it was a beautiful place. I only wish they hadn’t leaned into a club atmosphere.
Sex was around and available, but it wasn’t always in your face. Even after the explosion in popularity, it was at least less of a judgmental atmosphere in regards to looks and age. It was a pretty positive experience overall.

OP, I've been to Hillside in Gibson, PA a few times for exactly the reasons you stated. I really enjoyed myself there. You can make of it what you want...an outdoor, sleazy bathhouse or a place of peace, quiet and connecting with nature. The guys are very nice and chill, I found. You can be naked basically the whole time. They have inexpensive cabins. The premium ones with a toilet and shower are only $110 a night. I would avoid the ones that are on what's called The Runway if you want solitude, too many sites too close together. You'll see it on the map, basically a straight road with many sites on both sides.

R2 - clothing optional will mean a handful of naked men - probably only a few you would actually want to see naked.
Meh.

I used to go to the annual gatherings of GNI in a Poconos campground every summer . It can be a lot of fun if you go with friends as it is very cliquey and not much fun if you go solo and you can get very lonely without good reading material. Some groups of guys have taken over group cabins for years. The guys are mostly older bears and the place is not as sexual as you would think - Outdoor sex is discouraged on the main grounds - the outdoor play area with cabins are across a small lake - open 24 hours a day. It's lovely to be nude in the summer for three to ten days and it feels very odd to put on clothes when it's time to leave.
The Camp mess hall serves absolutely rotgut cafeteria food, so if you can bring coolers and a barbecue grill you are much better off. The downside is its really expensive. The last time I went in 2016 it was $2,000 for the week and I decided I had sufficient.

Did anyone ever go to either the Woods in PA or Timberfell in TN?
Either of those would satisfy anyone’s need for clothing optional camping and public sex, if they’re like they were in the 90s.

Sawmill gay campground north of Tampa FL has everything you’re seeking: clothing optional everywhere, play areas indoors and out, bar/small restaurant on premises, affordable rates. Busier on weekends, predictably.

Too late for that, R10 -- it's getting hotter here in FL by the minute.
But here's the link for OP.

If someone reading this thread has been to Frog Meadow in VT, pass along a review. I've been tempted to go, evening for an evening or two.

I've found that too. No cliques or unkindness; for some reason, everyone being naked (hot and definitely not) is a good equalizer.
And everyone carries a towel to sit on.

OP, I have been to multiple gay campgrounds- The Woods in PA , Timberfell and Whispering Oaks in TN and Oz in GA. Theres definitely a sexual element but you can ignore that if you want. Lots of good camaraderie and fun. Be naked all the time or stay clothed. No one will judge you. Some very HOT guys and some not. Love it.

Go, OP. Mid-week is quiet, try Tue-Wed-Thurs, leave Friday morning. Be nude all you want, no matter what you look like. If others around you want sex with you you will know. Many go in two-somes and groups, and will not be yelling at you "come join us." You'll be viable; those who'll want you will know it.

For Hillside and Oneida in PA if you want to have sex at all don't go during the week. You most likely won't get any sex. Oneida lets in women so I don't go there. The Woods is the nicest and the men are generally hotter but I think there's some attitude there bc there are more big city professionals. I don't live far from Hillside so it's more of a day or nightclub place for me. I go alone and have fun. People are mostly friendly unless you're a complete wallflower and make no effort. On weekends impossible to not get some sex.

Just go into one of the cabins, eat their porridge, break a chair, then wait for three bears to find you in their bed and let them have their way with you.
Works. Every. Time.
