What instantly makes a guy unattractive?
A question posed on the Facebook group Gay and Fabulous has prompted hundreds of replies.
“Be brutally honest,” asked one member of the group. “What instantly makes a man unattractive?”
The most-liked answer was short and sweet: “Voting Republican” earned over 180 upvotes.
Other popular answers included “Narcissism or just overall bad attitude,” “How you treat others,” and “Being close-minded, lack of empathy.”
Many others offered variations on this theme, adding “control freak, manipulative,” or “condescending” as unattractive traits. Bigotry and prejudice are also unwelcome.
It seems that cigarettes are a massive turn-off for many, as “Smoking” was another well-liked answer, closely followed by “bad hygiene” or bad teeth. Long, untidy fingernails also seemed unpopular with many men.
Someone else mentioned cruelty to animals and another guy highlighted anyone who asks you to get rid of your pets. A third suggested that “Not caring about dogs” is a red flag for them.

Not caring about dogs is a turn on. I like spontaneity and generally find dogs overstimulating.

Meanness, cruelty, pettiness...comes out in how he treats others in general and people waiting upon him every time.
